when his drawers are completely empty. If he is the type that will pull stuff out of the dirty pile and wear them, it will take a bit longer.

Wait--you can't just keep rewearing clothes?! They need washed eventually?! True story here... One of my offspring thinks that hygene is rather over rated. He might come in contact with water occasionally, soap is certainly optional. He tends to wear the same shorts for weeks on end. He said that it was his only pair of shorts so he and dh went out and bought another pair. Nope. Still wearing the same pair. The other night at dinner the kids (all FIVE of 'em sorry to say...) got into a water fight. Yes, at dinner. We were eating outside. Anyway, said offspring got soaked. He complained htat the water stunk. Uh, no, it ain't the water. It's YOU. GO SHOWER AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES!!!! I ahve so much to do today! Everything for FOT has to be done today. Tomorrow ds1 and I are racing in the morning, and I have a long ride in the afternoon. No doubt I'll be dead by the end of the day. We are leaving sometime Sunday morning.

Could this actually be true? Jen, I'd never give my 14yo math in the morning. He is not bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. He doesn't REALLY get wound up good until after lunch. Of course if he had been told you cannot do --- til you have it done... THEN he might force himself to do it early and really MESS IT UP as you have mentioned with your son.

The title of this thread gave me a chuckle! Thanks Zoe! Jen, about Brandon. My news-my sil sends me emails every so often. I will respond to what she sends me, although I don't think she reads my answers all the time. I stopped sending her emails long ago when I heard that she deletes them. Oddly enough, if I don't respond to what she sends me, she'll keep sending it until there is a response. So, she wants me to respond to her, but she won't respond to what I send her. A few days ago she sent me a link to biblegateway.org. Ok I thought, I'll bite, so I sent her links to four different bible study sites. This week she sends me the Romans Road invitation to salvation from a ministry and at the bottom of their message they had a do you know Jesus, click here for more information. I have no idea why she sent this to me. She attended our wedding almost 6 years ago now, where it was crystal clear what we believed. For gifts every year we have sent something pertaining to a believer's life. I sent her the various bible study sites. Now how many non believers do you know who would be able to send bible study sites back to someone? Even if they did know about them, they wouldn't take the time to list them. I have a feeling that it's because I am Messianic, although of course, she would not send something like that to my dh, who is the same way. We have sent them books in the past to explain why we do what we do that have not been read. When we go on vacation, we make it a point to attend a service somewhere. We have asked them to attend a service with us every time we visit-they decline. In spite of all that, she now has the impression I'm not a believer? She refuses to learn about what we do, yet assumes she knows what we're all about. I sent her a reply back with one question- "Why did you send this to me"? There has been no response so far. If I was an unbeliever, her unwillingness to discuss why she did what she did would not convince me to accept Yeshua. For now, I am doing what she does-I will continue to email her every day until she anwers my question. Like the widow that would not let up on the judge until she got an answer to her case. She will either get tired of it and answer or lay low for a while and start sending me other things. Things that I will not respond to until she answers my question-and I will tell her that once she asks why I have not responded to her. I think the spell check on here has a word limit because it was working when I first started typing and then halfway through, it told me there were no spelling errors. Au contraire, I found plenty! Told you it was

Actually, Shadow, I do see the humour in it. You're right, it is funny. Funny and confusing to me both. I'd really like to know how she came to that conclusion, and if she thinks so little of her bil (dh) that he would marry an unbeliever? Loved the herring joke!

Cindy, How is your car coming? We are getting ready for the beginning of the FOT. We watched Ishpezen (sp?) last night, it was so funny and wonderful. There is so much that we have gotten from that movie even though I don't believe it is Christian. It did give insight to us that we needed. Narnia, I wish that you could come to FOT too. Tonight we are having a time of praise and worship and communion. I am so excited. Levi and Hannah are here. Hannah has been really busy with Rebekah. Levi has just been busy. Levi LOVES steps and stairs and NEEDS to go on every single set of them here... over and over again. That is a LOT of steps!! He has tired several of us out from just following him around. L)L! He fell asleep as soon as I put on a movie. I am not sure that he even made it through the little intro. They are so cute.

Thanks Ellie. I wish I could come too. Ishpizin is not a Christian movie, but it is very informative. I could dance and do tambourine and teach everyone some dances too, including tambourine. Glad the children are enjoying each other.

I would love to have someone come and lead dances. I think it would really add a festive element to the FOT. I would like to be more festive. I wasn't even good at parties when I was a kid.

Of course, I would probably need to bring my own music as well as see if I could make dances up to whatever songs are already being used.

***WARNING*** *** MAJOR RANT*** Okay- I made a comment a few months ago about how good the boys were being with their glasses this go round. Shortly after that comment #2 son's glasses got broke. it was one of those tussling type deals where I had 4 boys all pointing at the other saying that HE did not do it so and so did. They are like .50 reading glasses glasses so I let it slide. (1) Then #4 son was playing rough at church and came back with only one lens, he went into a back up pair that had mega scratched lenses. So what'd he do? He left them in floor and Oh MY! they got stepped on. Who would'a thunk that glasses in the floor would'a gotten stepped on??? (2) Then #3 said his got knocked off the table and stepped on and he got smacked into a back up pair that was missing a nose pad... he complained so I snapped the other nose pad off and told him that his glasses belonged on his face OR on the nail next to his bed- his fault deal with it.(1) You keeping count? since I said they were doing well I have seen 4 pair of glasses get bashed. Ohh it gets better. Last night AFTER I told them to go to bed #3 slings a pillow at #1 who is 2x his height and 2x his weight and in a bad mod because mom won't let him stay up and watch Casino Royal until Mom has seen it and can tell him where to hit next chapter. Like #1 son is not going to snatch said pillow and lay #3 out like he'd be hit by a ton of bricks??? Yeah- right upside #3's head and blasts #3's glasses(that Back up pair) right offa his head. Mmmm PAIR #5 in less than 3 months folks!!! I did not find out about this 5th pair getting blasted until a few ago- which just happened to be right after #1 son decided to make some chili to go on our burrito lunch and turned the eye on HIGH then came in here and plugged into the net with the phones so loud that he couldn't hear his timer. The timer? Oh #3 head the timer but could not be bothered to actually leave the lord of the rings to come and get his brother. instead he stayed put in the living room calling "Jared the timer" over and over. "but I did call him mom." Uh huh 5 pair of glasses another pair that #1 has been saying are on their last legs(they are) a pot with nearly a full centimeter of hormel chili with beans burnt to the bottom of it, and Emo Boy who decided that he was gonna have a melt down over the CAT tests being here this AM. My sons are def close to being eaten. Pray for them... and me... cause I am tired of talking and the spoon is gonna start flying without warning because all 4 of them know how to behave proper, I should NOT have to constantly tell them. I am beginning to wonder if they have 1 brain collectively between the 4 of them. I know that guys do have brains as my husband has one... I am just wondering when God inserts them........... I have a brain too and it is telling me that going out and blowing my emergency fun on 4 pair of glasses for these dunderheads is a waste of 800.00 bucks.

Ezri, Praying!!! MINI RANT to go with yours: Ds has went through 2 pairs of cheap ($68) at Walmarts so far. Well, not cheap to me but the cheapest they have. He wants Ty Flex (sp?) with transition lenses- probably a couple of hundred bucks. Well, I didin't have enough for the glasses, BUT Ds SOMEHOW MANAGED to talk Dh into buying him a NEW Nintendo DS for $129 plus tax today! quote:
Question: How long do you suppose it'll take a 15 yo boy to realize that his mother is no longer washing his laundry? Jen, I don't know but want to hear a funny story? I asked Ds (who is also 15) to carry the basket of clothes downstairs and out to the truck so we could go to the laundramat. He said " I just put clean clothes on. WHY should I have to carry a basket of dirty, stinky clothes downstairs?" My answer: "Duh, because you just put clean clothes on, that's why!! narnia, When we went to MO last year, we went to a place called International House of Prayer. http://www.crhop.org/index.html There was a man dressed like David and he danced. Ds really enjoyed seeing him. He talked to the man and he said he had been all over the world, dancing. quote:
Then, the 19th is when public school starts here... The governor made it so that the ps doesn't start until after Labor Day here. (Michigan). She thought that starting school before then put a big dent in the money from vacationers... so now the kids don't get out of school until the second week of June...

Could this actually be true? Yes, Jen, it's true. Those of us who are naturally night people do not do well on complicated tasks early in the morning. That's one of the biggest reasons I've never worked days - I'd miscalculate a drip and kill someone. Lisa, I haven't made the final decision yet, but that's mostly because I so badly want to come that I'm trying to ignore the fact that I probably shouldn't, if you KWIM. Ez, what can I say. They obviously have brains, but it seems the on switch is broken.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I do that too. Don't forget that there will always be next year. There have been some from here that are hoping to come for the first time.

Cindy--I am so sorry that I am the cause of all of your car problems. You do remember that everything IS my fault??? I really hope that you can make it. We NEED you there! Although, those of us who keep NORMAL hours (ie 5:30am-10pm) will probably enjoy the sleep we would get without you keeping us up all hours of the night! CInderella--weather in NY is similar to OH. Cool in the morning. Stupid hot in the afternoon. Chilly in the evening. Quite enjoyable.
