Rain rain and nothing but rain. I've just been on a long drive to Oxford and back. I'm tired and I'm wet. As I was driving I noticed a few droplets entering the car from the roof. Water must have leaked through the sun roof. Sunroof !!! Ha ... I haven't used that for ages. We don't know what the sun looks like around here with all the rain. Now the car is leaking through the roof I'll put it for sale as the only car with an en-suite shower. I've ordered the book you suggested from the Internet. Still waiting for it to be delivered. Wet and un-readable no doubt.

I've just noticed a few stars under rating next to my thread. What do they mean? Does anyone know?

No doubt. Let me know what you think of it once you've checked it out. I have to resurrect mine and start doing what it says. I finally wrote to my publisher, complaining about all the delays. They promised 90 days on their website and it's been nearly a year. They apologized profusely, said they didn't have a good excuse, and wouldn't sleep until it was done. Indeed, that same evening, they sent me back the manuscript to proof. So, if they could make all the changes in just a few hours, why have I waited so long since sending it to them on May 26? Silly people. At the marriage refreshment course my dh and I went to this weekend, was a man who has recently published a novel and is working on two more. We had a lot of things to talk about and information to share. His publisher is a "regular" kind but still the author has to do all the marketing. He agreed that that is the hard part.

LOL! Yeah, it's cool. I had to go check my thread too, to see if there were stars beside it. I rarely see that page because I use the subscription feature instead.

I've discovered something else whilst going around this website. At the top of the page there's "Display topics from last" Then there's a box where you can change the number of days. By changing the number of days in this box to the maximum allowed, I've discovered old threads I wrote even before joining these Forums !!!!! ?

Hi Kerrlaw and Maggie, Welcome (Kerrlaw) to the thread of Damocles. The only thread in these Forums where nonsense reigns supreme. There's far too much common sense in this world; and look at the mess we made of it !!! We should give nonsense a chance and maybe things would get better.

I wish I was better able to contribute to the nonsense. I'm enjoying it though.

I have an eight year old chocolate Lab. She doesn't try to sing and I don't chew her pig ear treats. We get along very well.

I mis-read what you wrote. Thought you said you don't chew her ears. If they're chocolate, they'd probably be very yummy (as long as it was GOOD chocolate).

Hi Mvic, how are you doing? BTW, how did you write threads before joining this forum? Where they annexed in? Also, on the copier, apparently the copier had something called "a smart scan", which is supposed to recognize what you are copying and make corrections accordingly. The problem was that the copier was getting it all wrong though! Oh well, at least I figured out how to shut that feature off! Things worked just fine after that.

Mike, I think he was joking about the posts before he joined. How is Britain this morning? (guess it's afternoon there now) Today is sunny and warm in the Canadian prairies, and we'll be driving most of the day.

Hi Humbleinspirit and Maggie, Great to see you here once again. Glad to hear the photocopier problem is sorted. As for writing threads before joining the Forum - that's easy. You just imagine !!! Great thing imagination. Sometimes I imagine this whole thread is full of nonsense, and guess what ... it is !!! Weather here is just about OK. Stopped raining but still grey and threatening. It is now 3.45pm. Sorry 3.45pm and 10 seconds ... no ... and 20 seconds ... 30 ... oh I give up.

mvic, what is the subject of your book? Is it possible to buy it on internet? Have you considered making a career as a humorist? You are very funny. I just read your prayer, asking for patience, but be quick ( on another thread)

Hi Lufia, Welcome to this thread. A thread full of nonsense created by me the world's least known nonsense person. The subject of my book is an imaginary story where Jesus appears to some children and the whole town reacts to their revelation. Some believe them and some don't and react in a violent way. I've added some humour to keep the story going but it really has a Christian message in it. See my website below on how to buy the book on the internet. Thanx for your interest and God bless.

Hey Mvic, yes, a lot of these threads are full of nonsense! And you should have been here a few years ago when things were really hopping in that regard too!

Hi Humbleinspirit, I hope you're keeping well. I keep the serious stuff to my blog pages, and the nonsense here. Perhaps I should add some jokes here from time to time. The next joke I have in mind is so good I can't wait to hear it myself !!!

A woman was admitted to hospital with two burnt ears. Apparently she answered the phone whilst she was ironing. The doctor asked her how she burnt the second ear. She replied that it happened when she phoned for an ambulance.
