I think I was on the phone with Karlie (a couple of years ago?) when she was relaying something to me and she said something along the lines of, "and then I thought, Oh Shar-Mar!" She pronounced "Shar" to rhyme with "Mar".
It was the first time I had ever heard my nickname verbally pronounced.
And it really threw me for a curve! 
All that time prior, I had, in my head, been pronouncing it as Sha (soft "a" and the "r" being silent) Mar . . . kinda like "ShaMar" 
But you, Christi and Karlie all pronounce it as "Shar" rhyming with "Mar" . . . so y'all must be right.
I pronounced it like ya'll too until I heard her Shar-Mar call herself Sha-mar at a GT. I picked it up, and now don't 'pronounce' the first r anymore (not that l say that name out loud LOL)
Now I avoid all confusion and just call WRB Sharon-Marie instead.

Almost every time I hear your name I think of a Sesame Street variation of the Beatles Hey Jude called Hey Bug instead.

It seems most people call me Diva --a few Divabrat--both are fine--but I sometimes think maybe y'all are referring to DenimDiva when you call me Diva.
