No he said psychopath. I remember thinking he was joking too since when I think of a psychopath I think of the movie The Shining not some woman who looks normal.

Sociopath and Psychopath are basically the same things. Both of them come from the same place.

The only major difference I can see is that psychopaths are intentionally cruel. Sociopaths are simply apathetic toward other people unless others infringe upon their intents. This woman is a sociopath.

If you look at famous sociopaths and psychopaths, like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and Wesley Dodd, you will notice that they look absolutely NORMAL. There is no way to distinguish these individuals from the general population by appearance.

Female sociopaths/psychopaths are rarer than males, but their numbers are increasing much faster than their male counterparts. Much of it is due to social structure- especially family dysfunction, but there are indications that exposure both in utero and after birth to drugs and toxic chemicals can also play a role. Kids watch too much TV and are involved on the internet and with video games way too much and fail to develop the interactive social skills required for normal mental and behavioral development. Sexual abuse can also be a factor in these conditions, but sometimes a child is born with defective wiring in their brain and will turn out like that no matter how good their family or environment.

yeah I read how they were pretty much the same thing too. Listening to the original 911 tapes anyone can tell that they have had troubles with her for a long time. The mother was fed up enough with her daughter that she was going to have her arrested. That was before the daughter finally confessed to her mom where the baby was. It was so sad hearing the panic in the grandmothers voice when she first knew her grand baby has been missing for a month. I am sure the grandma knew all along but the power of denial is pretty strong. I would bet she was thinking if she just believes strong enough that her precious grand baby is alive then she is.

Actually, there are some differences. For example, Nancy Grace is a sociopath and Geraldo Rivera is a psychopath.

But thats one thing i wish we knew...i wish we knew what she did and what happened to Caylee. She may be intentionally cruel. If she killed her daughter then she is for sure.

It was very sad to hear. But its almost MORE sad to now hear her deny saying some of the things she said - like there being a smell like a dead body had been in the car...now shes changing it to a pizza. Ur right - denial is a pretty strong thing.

I just got done watching Nancy Grace and they were talking about chloroform being found in Casey Anthony's car trunk. The chloroform in her car was "suspiciously high. Her laptop shows that she had been visiting sites about chloroform.

Yes,Thessa,Nancy's twins are so cute!

Yeah i saw that too! That is BAD!
Makes me wonder...that forensic guy on there said one of the only places you can get it now is in hospitals...and Cindy is a nurse. Does anyone think its likely that Casey possibly stole some from there?

Well, look at how she turned out. There is a possibility that has something to do with how she was raised.

Because then she wouldn't get the welfare check and food stamps, her parents would.

Absolutely unbelievable. Who in their right mind is willing to put up a bond for someone who has no income or assets? If Casey's parents are putting theirs up, then they are total morons.

Perhaps they are hoping she will somehow lead them to the body?

Has the grandmother come out defending the mother since the evidence proved there was a dead body in the trunk and that is was probally Caylee's?

Thessa,

At this point, I am not sure what to think. She is at least sociopathic, but I am beginning to believe that she is psychopathic as accused earlier.

Leslie,

I have not heard much of her lately. Frankly, I would rather not because she certainly flipped right at the jump. I love my children more than anything, but I would not cover up for them.

I know what you mean. I love my kids very much but I could never cover up for them if one of them killed my grandchild. I find it hard to believe that Casey would just now become someone capable of that. I believe that she must have always been self centered to the point of neglecting her daughter enough for her to die or outright killing her. I do not get how a parent can cover up that much for their child.

They will be able to try Casey based upon the forensic evidence that shows Caylee's body was in the trunk of Casey's car, even though the body of the child has not been recovered. The anecdotal evidence- the phone call of Casey complaining that the car smelled like a dead body, that Casey tried to hide the car, child had been missing for a month and the grandmother not the mother reported it, etc., can be used in court to show probable cause, which is all the law requires for a conviction. They cannot prove first degree murder but certainly lesser murder/homicide charges could apply as well as child abuse/neglect leading to death of the child.

I sincerely doubt that Casey will ever lead anyone to the child's body or tell what happened to her. For all we know one of her druggie friends raped the child or Casey allowed her child to be raped in exchange for dugs (which happens far more frequently than decent folks would even want to know) and the child died as a result of the injuries. The child could have ingested drugs and died. There are many scenarios which come to mind as to what could have happened to that child, none of them pleasant.

FL law may keep Casey behind bars for years, and hopefully she'll get the maximum sentence for each offense to be served consecutively. But without 1st degree murder charges, she will eventually be eligible for parole... if a fellow inmate doesn't kill her first.

I wonder if they will get enough evidence for the death penalty?

I wonder why this woman keeps getting people to come foward and pay her bail? It is aweful to think there are people out there who does not report that somthing terrible happened to her child deserves to be free. I could not imagine going out and to party after my child died weather it was my fault an accident or an illness
