I'd try just about anything for $1000! But some things I couldn't put in my mouth for any amount of money;

tuna
bottom feeder fish or crustaceans
pork of any kind
livers or other organs or intestines
any kind of bug, worm, or anything like that

I'd have to be in danger of literally dying of starvation before I'd eat any of those things.

If I could get away with eating just that (with the occasional steak), I'd be a happy, happy man.

Well I guess y'all aren't coming for dinner! We have liver every two weeks (we LOVE it), broccoli and brussel srpouts several times a week. Tuna is a usual lunchtime meal, with boiled eggs, of course. Pork roast is a Sunday staple. Oysters and okra are another favorite. Fried crayfish (crawfish, ocean roaches) are wonderful, especially with a bit of cajun seasoning..... YUM!

I'd be there in a heartbeat Diane ~ though shellfish doesn't like me so I'd have to pass on the oysters and crayfish which is a pity, cos I love shellfish.

Diane, are the "oysters and okra" just two foods served at the same meal, or is there a dish that contains both? If so, I'd LOOOOOVE to have the recipe. Those are two of my favorite things!!!

You know... if you serve it with bacon, it cuts down on the smell.

Well, there ya go - you're eating it out of a can. Anything tastes bad out of a can. Find a good sushi place or a good seafood restaurant that serves it raw or seared. You wouldn't believe they both came from the same animal.

I only eat it from the can. Aside from the smell, there's nothing bad to it.

Oysters and okra are not part of a recipe I know of, but I bet we could come up with one! It does sound delicious!

Aren't Mountain Mushrooms the private parts of a goat?
