Just wondering how many teens here wear jeans to church. I, for one, am not allowed to. And to church I mean like the church service, not youth group or something like that.

I would never wear jeans to church. One reason is because my parents don't like it, and neither does my church, and since I'm on the worship team, the dress code applies. (my church doesn't have a problem with visitors wearing jeans, and even some regular members wear jeans sometimes, just NOT up front! Also, I want to honour God in His house, so I dress up nicely. On Wednesday nights I will sometimes wear a jean skirt though, as long as I'm not playing or singing.

i always wear jeans to church. i never even consider NOT wearing them. i dont see the point of "sunday best". God is supposed to always be with you and he never leaves me. so if i can only worship wearin a skirt or a dress, then God leaves me when i'm sleepin in shorts and a shirt? it makes no sense. i see no point to it. God is always with me, and Jesus wore tattered robes and sandals. not gorgeous suits.

God is everywhere, not specifically limited to church buildings. Am I less honoring to Him in the shower, or when I'm in shorts and sweating from a workout? I think not.

In fact, Gal 2:6 states that God does not judge by outward appearance. Why are we so concerned with honoring God only on certain days of the week when we're not dressed up for most of the week?

His house is our own body, which is His temple, the capsule He dwells in. Therefore, if anyone wanted to honor Him in His house, they would take care of themselves.

Anywho - yes, I always wear jeans to church. Rarely do I wear dress pants or the like.

I wear jeans to every church function, except for the Sunday morning service. I could wear them if I really wanted to, but to avoid my mom fussing at me, I put up with the skirt.

God doesn't judge by our outward appearances. So I don't see the point in getting all dressed up for a church service. Sometimes I think it's a little deceptive, actually.

If someone wants to dress up super nicely, or if they come straight from work with dirty hands and a torn shirt, I wouldn't have a problem at all.

I wear jeans all the time. And now that it's winter I find myself wear trackies. (the warm fleecy kind) Admittedly I wouldn't wear them to my parents church (I'd wear jeans) but since I go to a youth service it's very relaxed and no one cares what you're wearing.

I wear jeans to church all the time. I do believe that it's good to not look like a slob in church, but I don't think you have to get all dressed up. Sometimes I dress up, I love wearing my long pinstripe dress pants so it's a personal preference.

I think it's appropriate to mention something that a friend of my mom's said to me. He told me that a teenager came into church once wearing a cap. No biggie, it's a cap. But one of the older church members got upset, and went over to him, and yelled at him: "Take that cap off!" They never saw that kid again.

Sad really, people worrying too much about appearance can drive people away from the church.

Our church is really casual. Pastors theory is that you dress up all week and Sunday is supposed to be your day off. So ya I wear jeans. I see people in pj bottoms and barefoot sometimes.

Looks like I'm completely in the minority here. Not that I like wearing skirts or anything, I prefer dress slacks!

It's against my parents' rules and my worship team dress code, and I want to honour God when I'm in His house by dressing nicely.

the bible says we are the temple of God. God lives in us. not the church building. do you think that when we leave the church God stays there and waits for us to come back that night or wednsday or next sunday? no. God is within us. and He says man judges on the outward appearence not God. so your not impressing God when your in a dress. i can understand for worship if its your church's rules....but even in my church, we hosted a camp thing for the adults to kinda get a feel of what church camp was like, and we each were goin up there to pray and give testimonies and every single one of us had on jeans and t-shirts. i personally feel that it can be misleading. if i walk around in baggy shorts and shirts everyday, then thats most likely gonna be what i wear to church. instead of trying to impress everyone at church. some people may feel more comfy in a skirt and leggings and really dressin up, but if you dont, you dont need to do it for the "church"

Okay, like I see where you're coming from... I don't 100% agree, but that's okay, ya know? I dress as I do out of respect. Yeah, I wear jeans normally, but when I dress up to go in to God's house on His day, I'm showing Him that I don't have a flippant attitude towards what's happening, towards His day and His place of worship. I'm forgetting about the rest of the week, the world, so it's only fitting that I wear different clothes than I do normally. But I'm not going to judge others for what they wear, and I really don't want to get into an argument that would destroy any unity we as members of the Body of Christ have.

Well, thats good! I wear jeans to church all the time. Unless I'm doing something with my youth group on sunday's for the congregation (like, putting on a skit in front of our church).

bahahah.
i walked barefoot at an amusement park
my friends and i went on an EXTREME water ride.
it's called grizzly run. oh my gosh, you have probably never went on a water ride that bad.
after it was done, i was soaked. literally.
there was absolutely NO dry spots.

and i was wearing flip flops at the time,
so when i was walking my feet kept sliding out of the flip flops because they were soaked.
so i just took them off. people were giving me weird stares, but oh well. i honestly don't care. hahaha. but my feet were like burning up when i was walking on the concrete. it was baaaad.
