I'm not saying that God couldn't use something visual to speak to us, but I can't think of one single instance where God utilized in Scriptura an occultic practice to reveal His Truth (and auras are straight from the occult). None. I agree 100% .... but yet, there are still people posting on here thinking that maybe an aura or two is OK..When Moses face shone, it was not an aura. He was reflecting the glory of God, but it seems that no matter how many times you post that on this thread, someone comes along, does not read the previous posts, and says that Moses had an aura. It does not matter if chicken little has an aura and we all can see it. Reading auras, real or imagined, is not a Scriptural practice. So, as a Christian, you should not play with it. Gee, thanks for letting me state that yet again.

• The Gift of Discernment is revealed in many forms: - mental images - some people see form or shapes, dark presences of evil spirits. - visual perceptions - some people actually see things like little creatures, on homes, people, etc. - voice of the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit tells the person that there is demonic or humanistic activity going on. - an alarming feeling within - You sense a disgusted, bothered, extremely dark, or heaviness about a place or person The best way to start to develop discernment, is by studying the Word of God....it's called the Bible. All these feelings and perceptions and images are NOT described as discernment in the Bible.....it would not bother me so much if someone discerns something through one of these occurences, if people did not get all wrapped up in the experience and FORGET that the inspiration and truth are in the pages of the Bible and not in experiences. It would be really good to remember that not all discernment is necessairly from God. There was the servant girl that followed Paul declaring that he and those with him were servants of the Most High God. (Acts 16)....turned out her 'discernment' was demonic in origin. You cannot 'use' the Holy Spirit.....and God will not act outside of His own nature. I would never go by experience only and certainly not someone elses'......deception is rampant and the only thing that can protect you from it is the Truth. Please don't ask if I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I believe what the Bible has to say about them and the use of same. I do not believe in experiences that are not backed up by the Word of God.
