I'm OK now, thanks. My left hip is still a little sore when I try to walk more than a 1/4 mile or so.

Well, that wouldn't be so bad, except I don't have a car and the closest bus stop is close to 1/2 mile away from my house.

I'm kind of right in between San Francisco and Sacramento. Kind of a crowded area for a country-girl-at-heart girl like me.

Well, for me the nearest bus stop is only a few city blocks closer than the nearest grocery store. So, I really only take the bus when I go to church or to the dr. It really doesn't go most of the places that I need to go.

Oh goodness, no. I can barely afford the bus. I walk when I can. If one of my neighbors is going somewhere like the grocery store, she calls to see if I want to go. Although a few weeks ago, she and I went for a walk together and wound up at the grocery store. We decided to pick a few things up. By the time we got home, she said that she couldn't believe that I didn't have arms like Hulk Hogan. I remembered how badly it hurt my arms when I first started walking it. Now, it hardly bothers me at all.

Yes, I walk a lot. Today I was qualified by a professional to get a disabled pass for the bus.

Oh wow, I didn't know he grew up in Palo Alto. I lived in East Palo Alto for a while. Your hubby will probably say something like, "Glad she's OK". LOL, it's pretty bad there on the east side of Palo Alto.
