Did she grow out of it (get cuter)?

Oh yes, she is so beautiful. She has been since she was about 2. She can fluctuate in her weight and looks gorgeous pencil thin and with some weight.

I'm jealous.

I have a hard time seeing any baby as ugly. Some are definitely not as beautiful to look at as others(like my own ), but babies are so sweet and trusting and precious. I have never looked at one and thought they were "ugly". Even a not-so-cute baby, or one who needs to grow into his features is just too precious and sweet to be ugly.

But, I'm a baby nut. I want to hold every baby I see!

Oh me too, I want to hold them all...

I walk up to perfect strangers sometimes and ask them. Of course most of them think I am mad!

I never walk up and ask strangers to hold their babies, or even people I don't know very well. I hated it when people I didn't know would ask to hold my babies. I was a meanie and made up some excuse to say no.

But when I see someone I know well, I steal the baby the minute I can!

yea karlie, I've been told it's kind of rude to ask perfect strangers to hold their babies...just sometimes it still slips out

Are you kidding me??!
If babies EVER smell good, it's for about 5 minutes after they take a bath. Then they stink sooooooooo bad. Disgusting.
Honestly, i have yet to see a cute newborn. ALL newborns are... *ahem* not cute. Once they are about 3mo, they get to the cute stage.

I have seen a pattern too....seems that ugly babies grow up and become beautiful adults. And beautiful babies become ugly adults. Ugly people have beautiful babies and beautiful people have ugly babies. Any one else notice this? It's not a hard and fast rule, but I have seen it.....

What do you say to someone who has a "not real pretty" baby?

I mean, people will comment, oh what a pretty baby, so what do you say when that baby is ugly?

I usually say (in an admiring voice): Now that's a baby!!!

I have seen one not so cute baby. She grew up better, but when she was a baby she looked like a toy poodle. Which I hate Dogs, so it made it worse.

I love babies and everything babies and that is the only ugly baby I have seen.

I have seen some not so attractive adults have super, super cute babies. How does that work?

I'm a mother of five, grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 2 soon to be three. I love all babies but it's true some are much better looking than others. One of my granddaughters was the most beautiful newborn I've ever seen but another looked like a monkey (she's a very nice looking little girl now) When you look at them through the eyes of love it really doesn't matter what they look like.
One Grandma's opinion.

Nope...people are too unique to make that generalization....

And too many people look just like their parents for that to be accurate...

of course I'm one of the ones that said all babies were beautiful..so maybe I don't belong in the discussion....

Anyhow siblings, even if equally attractive...can look totally different from each other.....

That did remind me...I claimed I only saw one baby I didn't think was beautiful...but now that I think of it I've seen exactly two..but the 2nd one was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL from age 2 on up.....she just didn't make a very cute baby..but from 2 on she was gorgeous...the other baby, I dunno, haven't seen her since she was a baby...the poor child had an enormous head(no, she did not have hydrocephalus) and tiny eyes--the face part of her head was small, and the rest of her head was big..so the face was kind of lost in the head...she probably looked better once she grew hair.

So do I. I could only think how devastating that will be in the future to one or more of those children if/when they discover the site. Everything comes out eventually.

White and Asian tend to make a nice mix.

I personally think just about ANY mixed race baby tends to be cute (whether it's black/white, mexican/white, mexan/black..whatever)..

it's almost like the good Lord wants us to not inbreed! I've also noticed that even a completely caucasian person tends to be more beautiful the more of a mix of different countries are in their heritage...I remember we had this girl as a house guest once..and I hadn't met her before..and when she came to the door, I was stunned..she was about 15, and she was tan all over with chestnut brown hair and bright green eyes, and just a beautifully shaped face...she was SO beautiful.. and she had about 16 different nationalities in her heritage...if I recall correctly including both scottish and American Indian.

Yea most white and dark mixes end up looking pretty good. The color they get is the color that everyone is going for. The tanned look. Not dark as night, not white as snow but just in between.
