Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

Act 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Act 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

What is your view of the restitution of all things?

I'm pretty sure it is not referring to absolutely everything. For example, it seems clear that Satan will not be restored. Similarly, death will not be restored - it will be done away with.
Rather, I think it is a perfection and glorification of all things God has deemed worthy of redemption.

Another thought - it seems that, especially in referring to all people, it does not speak about all people individual, but rather a person of every kind. That is, all people groups.

I'm thinking, just off the top of my head, and not studying this yet, that restoration of all things, means,one thing for sure, the reviving of all of God's good things that went thru the dark ages, for example the Word, which was locked up in a language that no one really understood inside the catholic church, the gifts of the HOly Spirit were revived in a certain year, etc, well first, pentecost gifts of speaking in tongues, then healing gifts, then evangelists, then teachers, then prophets were restored to the church, now apostles are being restored, maybe that type of thing, all the things that the church seemed to lost and the church itself seemed to get lost and become organized religion instead, through the years since the early church, actually since Stephen's stoning, everything seemed to go alright with the church until persecution and the first martyr.

Yes, I am. There are clearly some people who have not accepted the gospel. Or are you saying that everyone has?

all things new,

Jesus came to buy back everything stolen from man by Lucifer and his bunch.

Jesus went into hell itself and took the keys away from that group, and actually gave them in trust to all of us.

yes you agree, or no you dont

No I don't agree with the premise of your questions. Give exact scripture that says "Jesus went into hell" Be careful that you read I and II Peter carefully.

Isaiah 14:16 states, Is this the man that caused the earth to tremble.

That's a ransom theology - certainly not heretical, but I do think it gives too much credit to Satan. Do you believe Satan has control over who does or does not go into hell?

hellochurch,
Do you think you could consolidate your posts together? It makes things easier to read for the rest of us!

This is just going off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it's not a direct quote from Scripture. Doesn't mean it's automatically false, though. Some doctrines are only fully understood by looking at Scripture as a whole.

First Peter, re descending in hell, to preach to the spirits in prison, which I presume is hell, - the prison referred to I presume is hell,

although it could be that he went to Abraham's bosom and preached to the captives there, the good news, and led them captive, out of there into heaven.

I think there are references to descending into hell, though and Abraham's bosom wasn't prison as hell is. Abraham's bosom was a good place enjoyed by those there, from description....

1 Pet 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Pet 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing,

Lets say it is Hell, even though it does not specify. Jesus preached to those that had died, giving them the chance of salvation. This He did after the resurrection = quickened by the Spirit.

Do you have any Scriptural support for this view?

Ephesians 4,

Eph 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Eph 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The lower parts of the earth sounds like hell.

Jesus said in Matthew 12, “I must be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth,”

The big problem that Christ had to face was God’s judicial statement that “the wages of sin is death.” God did not merely have physical death in view here but also a much worse type of death – a spiritual death where we are eternally separated from God in hell. This is the penalty that had to be paid in order for Christ to be our Substitute and Savior.

Mankind is destined for hell because we are all sinners. In order to save us, it was necessary for God not only to find us in our depraved and desperate condition, but He also had to pay the penalty for our sin – and that penalty was the equivalent of Jesus spending an eternity in hell paying for our sins.

Hell will be the destination of all the unsaved on Judgment Day when they stand trial before the Judge of Heaven and Earth.
