Will we attack Iran before the elections? Bush's final farewell?

IMO if it looks like Obama will be elected then I wouldn't doubt if Bush would attack Iran knowing Obama wouldn't?

I don't think The US will attack Iran.

But if Obama is elected, I think Israel will attack their nuclear facilities before Jan.09.

Iran makes a claim about some fictional plan of US attacking them and everyone goes nuts???

Is it really for most people to loose touch with reality?

So a spy is withdrawn from a country because that country claims it is going to be attacked. That does not say very good things about the country that that spy works for, for them to believe something that is so self serving.

I mean, the world has known for some time that both the US and Israel have been concerned about Iran's nuclear program, and the possibility of them making a nuclear weapon. The world has also known, for some time, that both countries have not ruled out the use of military force to prevent it. The world also knows that both countries are intent in pursuing dipplomatic means to prevent it as well, and that diplomacy has not yet run its course.

Iran is just trying to scare people with their generalized observations about efforts to keep them from developing nuclear weapons. Pure and simple.

Iran didn't make the claim.

A dutch spy investigation made it.

I think that Israel will do the attacking.

Now how much a clandestine roll the U.S. will play will never be known.

I do agree that letting Iran go nuclear would be a tragic mistake for the whole world; so someone will stop it.

To me the most sensible thing would be to support a revolution and overthrow the Mullahs and present Government of Iran. Their belief that if they kill all the Jews and Christians in the world or convert them to Islam; then the 12th Iman will crawl out of the well he has been hiding in and bring peace to the world is armageddon thinking.

Thanks
RC

Thank you Jesus, and Thank you President Bush.

the issue is not about whether or not there has been another terrorist attack..the topic is about whether or not the U.S. is planning a military attack on iran...i'm sure the pentagon has contingency plans in place and this is proper...but a pre-emptive military action against a sovereign state is questionable at this time...looking back on the bush presidency there have been many questionable actions, data mining telecommunications outside the scope of the warrant, instituting warrentless searches by the fbi, and who knows if history will ever reveal the real reasons behinde the iraq war, putting more resources into iraq than in afghanistan where resources are sorely needed...i'm well aware bush did not do all of this alone, congress was also involved...but when i say nothing bush might do would surprise me, i mean just what i say

And a preemptive attack on one of Iran's nuclear facilities would help ensure this; do you think that having the Messiah sit down and with Iran's head nutjob would deter their plans for the complete destruction of Isreal?

if by the Messiah you are referring to Jesus then i would have to answer that nothing is impossible...if you're being sarcastic and referring to obama then i would answer no

It makes no sense for an attack at this time. But His Excellency is not known for logic.

Any military action is likely going to be done by Israel. But an attack might actually bolster the current Iranian regime by "proving" to the citizens that they really are going to be invaded.

Is that based on the intelligence you have gathered or the CIA? or...do you work for the CIA?

Can you expand on this view a little further in light of the fact that several Jews are representatives in Iran's parliament?

Interesting article but "trigger a third world war"? Iran is a Shiite nation who wants to become a "regional superpower". To the Sunni nations around them and whose product must flow through the straits of Hormuz this would be a nightmere scenario.

BTW, this "Dutch spy", does he work for Shell Oil? I am sure the price of oil will spike on this news!

Wouldn't surprise me one bit! One little hint of an uproar and the speculators slap their greedy little hands together in anticipation.

News Flash!

Oil prices have been dropping sharply over the past few weeks.

Does this mean the so-called Dutch intelligence is somewhat lacking?

I hope not - it'd make America look even more like an aggressor.

Now Dubya, haven't you been watching the news lately?

It's was initially smeared with the DNC, then Gustav, now still more Gustav and increasing coverage of the RNC. There simply hasn't been any room for this story. Bush certainly wouldn't want an impending attack to be held against the republicans at this stage of the game now would he?

He's so concerned about his poor decision making reflecting on the republicans , he won't show his presence at the convention because he doesn't want the focus on his failures.

This really is common sense here.

News flash!

When oil futures go up it DOES affect the price of gas but there will be a lag in the increase (or decrease) in the price you see at the pump.

And the reason why they are dropping is because Gustav didn't damage any platforms like they (the speculators) were betting on!

Every time Iran rattles a sabre, the price per barrel goes up $5-10!
