How do you get people to get over being mad at you (without hitting them with a rock that is)?

Your options are:

IWell, let's see. Here's what some famous people did:
-Kobe Bryant bought an $8 million dollar diamond ring when he got caught cheating
-Bill Clinton apologized to his wife in front of billions of people. Same for Spitzer, Craig, McGreevey, etc.
-John Mccain admitted complete and total responsibility (some 30 years later and running for president0
-All the famous televangelist caught in some sort of scandal displayed buckets of tears in front of millions and ask for forgiveness....

Does that help?

Well, it's in the dictionary on my computer (full definitions and everything). Does that count?

What context of Nuke - do you mean "This soup is cold, I'm gonna nuke it" or "That country is out of line, I'm gonna nuke it."

Funny thing, I just noticed my renter's insurance doesn't cover nuclear explosions. Pitty.

Why does the news media get all excited, and tell you such things as "If you see that car leaving, that is the presidents motorcade" ... well, what about the president himself? Did you get a shot of that?

Both are there in the dictionary, as well as noun form - a nuclear weapon is a "nuke".

My previous car insurance policy had the same exception, even if the detonation were accidental. C'mon guys, do you really think it matters at that point?!

I think ewww is right out. (No dictionary hits, although ew came up as an abbreviation for "enlisted woman".) LOL and IMHO could be viable depending on whether or not you're allowing abbreviations/acronyms. What do the rules say about them?

Isn't the Internet wonderful? (Official Scrabble Rules)

Specifically: "Types of words which cannot be used are abbreviations, prefixes and suffixes. Words that require a hyphen or an apostrophe cannot be played. Words that are spelled with a capital letter cannot be used."

thanks, Lab Guy.

I'm playing with an 11 year old whose IQ is twice as high as mine, so she's allowing me to use any word that's commonly used in today's culture...meaning, text messages type of words are allowed, for my benefit. We're really just goofing around; it's a way to pass the time on a rainy labour day.

I'm boycotting labour day so I'm not doing any cooking, cleaning, washing, etc, today. So, did anyone do any labour today?

I thought the point was just to ask questions, not really answer them. Am I right?

Yes. I'm still at work. And still nursing a cold that has me feeling like death-warmed-over-zombie-plague-boy.

Can ya tell I'm not especially thrilled to be at work today?

Kind of both.....it's really what you want to make it - just make sure you have a question in there.......make sense?

It's convoluted and lacks clear boundaries - I like it :)

So if it is game - what is the goal? :) Not that there needs to be one ... but it was a topic-appropriate question ;)

The goal is just to always ask a question. No matter how much sense it makes. Its a little crazy but lots of fun. Understand?

The goal it to see if you can answer other questions with questions.....and not get caught! Trust me, we've had it happen lots of times. It's fun when it does. LOLOL

Why am I in a funky mood?

I'd blame it on hurricane season being in full swing :)

Why o why does it have to still feel like summer in September?

Because we're in the south? (It's over 90 here - with 90+% humidity).
