Just thought I'd share.... I used to have awful nightmares. God took them away after I had my pastor and several people in my church pray over me about them. I don't believe God wants us to be tormented...
About the 'can't hang a foot off the bed cuz the monster might get me'... I still have issues with that once in a while. I used to be really bad about it. I'm mostly over it now, just have to remind myself once in a while.
One thing I could never understand was that I loved to sleep in my parents' room as a kid. My dad was a fireman, so he was gone every 3rd night. My mom would let me sleep with her quite often. The odd thing is that even though I loved to sleep in there, I was always terrified that a wolf lived in their room and was going to get me at night. I would never hang my foot off the bed in there. My room was right next door, but the wolf didn't live in my room for some reason. That's kinda weird... lol The logic of kids, I guess.
