I drive a Volvo. It is really owned by my dad, but I am the main driver of it. If a car is free I don't give a rat's patootie about the style....

OK, that's not totally true....in college he had me driving a '68 Ford Mercury, and it was like driving the Queen Mary....I hated it...

But the Volvo is an 87 foor door silver gray deal...not exactly a Ford Mustang or Porshe, but not bad at all. And it doesn't break down all the time like the Mercury did. And the back seat is nice to be able to give rides..including friends' kids.

Do I have a "Singles" Car?

No my vehicle is still single but he is predestined to marry a 66 Stingray Corvette...He just doesn't know it yet.

Unfortunately neither does my pocket book.

nope, i drive a "mom" car - 4 door 96 honda civic aka the road runner *meep meep*

Are all four door cars considered "mom" cars? Oh well, I would NOT want a two door car anyway!

The ultimate mom car is a 5 door... <hushed tone> a mini van </hused tone>. or as my kids call it 'a loser cruiser'. (just in jest).

I drive a chevy blazer. I think if you're a single lady and you drive an SUV it says independent. I'm just not sure if guys are attracted to 'independent' or if it says to them... "I can take care of myself, I dont need you". Which BTW, yes I do What I'd love to have is a ragtop jeep CJ anything. But never with a teen with a permit...too tippy.

By this I mean a sporty little 2 seater ... or do you drive something different?
I drive a 1-seater . . . my yellow 1970 Schwinn non-motorized tri-wheeler
(pedal-powered adult trike).

i don't see any problem with a potential driving a SUV or truck, it's pretty cool. especially since i don't have one, maybe she'd let me drive it sometimes

Ha ha - I always say this about my little Civic - that I'm really in love with a Stingray (I was thinking more 76, partly due to the pocketbook issue).

I always have said my consolation if I'm single at my 40th birthday will be a Stingray. I don't want to read too much into this - but the night my interest/crush asked me to dinner ... I dreamed of a Stingray someone had turned into a sail-boat that kept sinking ... hmmmm ... maybe I won't be single when 40???

Did we decide what a singles car is?

I drive an SUV like some of you. I almost bought an xterra like PH, but I went for fuel economy. I would like to have an xterra or jeep for more offroad, so I'm kind a jealous of PH's.

Nice pic by the way PH... I hope your xterra wasn't the one taking up 2 parking spots though...

so THAT's my problem! I drive a SUV - granted it's a little one - an HHR, does that mean I'm a little independent? hmmm something for me to think about!

Hey, I parked at night and it was really late and I was very tired from going to the Grand Canyon. And to top it all off, the "check engine " light came on during the drive which was a stupid thing to happen on a brand new vehicle. By the time I parked the car, I was so ready to let them take it away, lol.

But the Xterra has been good to me since then. Put in 35,000 km in exactly a year. Man, you should see my gas expenses.

I haven't posted here yet, but no. My car is a four door that is nearing the end of its life. So sad, I've grown so attached to this one!

I drive a Honda Civic Si (the 197 hp Civic) :) Not a 2 seater, but a 2 door - definitely a single car. Or married without kids for that matter - I don't plan to get rid of her anytime soon!

I really like the Si model... the ones I looked at were 6 speed with the shifter in the dash... all posh and fancy like.

of course I bought a used one that I paid cash for to avoid the car payment, but i really enjoyed the window shopping!

I love my Si, that's exactly part of what I like about it.

I was lucky and sold the car I was driving before that for MORE than the Si cost - so I made a little bit of money and don't have a car payment. Whew!

So that's the problem. I drive a mini-van. That explains a lot. (But at least it's paid for so I'm not changing!)

My favorite car was a '66 Mustang. Dad was going to repaint, and I stayed firm... I wanted candyapple red. Well, I won! That was fun to drive around town.
