Good evening all! Everyone okay?

I went and looked at empty stores today. I used to have a gift shoppe years ago. My e-bay store stock is starting to take over the living room. So I thought it would be nice to go back to a store front....what a wake up call! Rent is insane out there now!!!!!!! Little, itty-bitty stores...the size of my not so big living room....over $1,000 a month! Some of them have common fees that bring the price up higher! Ugh.... I've really got to pray about this.

The lady that has our old shoppe has said she'd come to me first when she retires and sells it. I'm really worried about the cost now. I guess I need to trust God to lead me in the right direction. For now...it's my little e-bay store. (I really miss the human interaction.)

My 16 year old, who is also a member here, started her first job last week! My baby is growing up!

Wow! I didn't know you sold things on e-bay. Cool! What sorts of things?

Hi everyone . . thanks for starting us out this week, Barb.

Good to see you in here, Momma-Mo . . . . I'd forgotten you had stuff on eBay -- I'm thinking at one time I actually knew your handle . . wanna share it? PM if you'd like.

BTW, how's Bob the Bear??

It's been a frustrating day, and I'm glad it's over. That's all I have the energy to say for now -- I know, quite a shock. But that's the way it is. I'm off to bed.

I guess anyone who wants to know my e-bay name will probably have to pm me. I sell anything from used cookbooks to brand new Christian books, family friendly movies, Bibles, stuffed animals....anything that I'd sell in a store. (I love selling things!) Wish today's store hunt hadn't been so discouraging. Anyway, God has plans and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. When we had the store I got to share my faith and as far as I know 4 people got saved because we were there. One went on to be a pastor, and the other 3 shared their faith with others too...so, something good came out of it.

Sadly, Bob was shot by the authorities. We're pretty sure of it. I guess not everyone adjusted to the "peeping" bear that raided the garbage cans and bird feeders.... We miss him, but I don't know how bad of a nuisance he had become. There is such a big population now that other bears will take his place....I just hope they are not grouchy.

That sentence shocked me until I read on and figured out it wasn't a human Bob but an animal Bob.

My mom is getting rid of her store. She lives in Mississippi. Do you purchase discounted items? She had a gift shop.

Good Tues. Morning Everyone

Welcome back Momma-Mo
Poor "Bob"
Hope you can find a store building that's within your means to rent.

Hi Ginny
Hope all is going well for you

Leah,
I had a frustrating day yesterday also. Must have been because it was a Monday Huh?
My lovely DIL USED me again yesterday. I was suppose to have my grandsons for a few hours in the morning, and I ended up haveing them for 12 hours insted!
Not that I don't enjoy haveing them here. But it's really hard when I have my daycare kids here. And I don't like being lied to
I REALLY NEED to have a few words with that girl. For some reason I keep putting it off tho. Guess I don't know how to w/o yelling. And I don't want that to happen.

I have the fireplace going this morning. It was a tad chilly in here so hubby started it before he left for work. Started out with 65 degrees in here...now it's up to 67 degrees. I think this is the earliest we have started that fireplace. Our outside temp. is sitting at 56 degrees.

Good morning, all. Yeah, Barb, it's a tad chilly here too. Garrett showed up with corduroy pants & a long sleeved shirt on -- which may have to get changed before he leaves. But maybe not cuz it's still only 56 degrees. And we had the air on all night!

I'm determined to have a better day today. I'm going thru this dilemma thing with the gym and my OA meetings . . all just seems a useless waste of tiem when I can't seem to discipline my body to behave -- or my habits, mind, emotions, etc . . . probably just simply willpower. I seem to have none these days

As far as the talk with dil, Barb, it would be very hard cuz you don't want to alienate them. OTOH, being used is no fun, and keeping two extra kids with all the day care kids isn't either.

So sad to hear about Bob, Momma-Mo. I'll be pm'ing you about eBay.

Hi Ginny!

I've spent the morning washing violets . . . yeah, you read that right. All my lovely African Violets seem to have picked up a bug, so I've taken all 6 of them in and washed them first with alcohol then soapy water, then rinsed them till the water ran clean. What a mess. I just hope it works. I'm wore out already.

Leah,
Washing violets sounds intresting. But it needed to be done. I have a burning bush outside, that started to turn brown and die. So I cut it back big-time, and started over. It got new leaves on it, and started looking wonderful. Now it's turning brown again! Don't know what to do with it. I see nothing on it?! The bush must be over 10 years old already.

Made an apple pie yesterday, for dessert last night (and to warm up the kitchen) Now it's almost gone! Guess hubby liked it. So tonight I will make some pumkin bars. Usually desserts last two or three days around my house

It's warming up to 60 degrees outside so far. That sunshine looks so nice. I might get outside this afternoon. After I make that dessert. Then I have to make an early supper.
Have my first Bible Class tonight. Excited about going. But it's being held at 6PM. Sort of supper time around here. Plus I always pick-up Cody from football practice at 6:30PM. Guess hubby will have to take over that chore on Tues. nights.

Barb, the longer you put it off, the angrier you will become and the harder it will be to keep from yelling. I know it's not easy regardless of when you do it or how. I sure hope I don't have these kinds of problems with my daughters-in-law (or mothers of my grandchildren), though I"m sure there will be SOME problems. It must be hard to bring a new family member into your midst and do it without any conflict or trouble. I'll pray about this for you. {{{{Barb}}}} It's cool you're starting to go to a Bible class! I'd love to hear more about it--what are you studying? how many people? is it discussion or lecture? women only or men too? in someone's home or at church?

Momma Mo, thanks for sharing more about your business. I hope you find the building you need. From the sounds of it, having that personal contact with your customers would be very rewarding for you. (And you'd have your house back too!)

LOL! That was funny.

I've had a good day but I need to get to sleep.

Momma-mo, I enjoyed your bear stories. I hope you find what you need store-wise.

Hi Ginny!

Hi Maggie, I hope you get some good sleep.

Barb, praying you have the right words at the right time for your DIL. I love your new avatar!

I hope your day was better today Leah. And I hope the violets pull through, they can be so pretty. I always killed mine, but....

N's b-day is tomorrow, but sister will be gone for the evening so we celebrated tonight after scouts. He'd been wanting a star trek cake, but I didn't know how we could make one. He finally said that we could draw the outline of one on the cake, so that's what we did. Thankfully I had some black coloring paste, so we made the chocolate icing black for the background, and used gray for the outline. He was happy.

Good Wen. Morning Everyone

Oh Goodness Cammo..I did'ent relize I miss typed the WEEK..thanks for pointing that out.
(Barb wishes someone could fix that)

Dee, yes..the right words is what I need for my daughter-in-law.
BTW..bet that cake was awsome.
Thanks..the avatar changed due to Sharon. She is such a sweetheart.
Isabelle loved them pea's..LOL

Maggie, for me..the longer I wait, the less angry I am towards her.
We are studying "A Christian View Of Death"
there are about 10 people in our Tues. night class..and Pastor is also holding the same classs on Sundays, right after church. There are not that many people in that class tho.
Last night was our first class. It is a discussion class, with both women and men attending. We meet in the school classroom. Next week they are starting at 7PM. Guess we met last night an hour early because Pastor had a board meeting right after the Bible Study. This is my first Bible Study, and I find it difficult to find the Testaments fast enough. But that's OK I guess. I will get better.

Gotta go...have the grandsons and Brett is starting to cry. Grandma is gonna give him a bath

G'morning!

Ginny, yes, I find discounted items to sell. And as a result, sometimes I can sell below the suggested retail. I'm hoping for a good Christmas. Last Christmas I didn't have a store on e-Bay, but just some items for auction, and it actually helped me to buy my Christmas presents! That was good because we had financial tightness last Christmas.

I'm fighting off a cold that wants to get me. Time for lots of vitamin C!

My 9 year old son is re-cooping from pneumonia! Poor baby. Now my entire family feels like they are fighting something. Not good, being that my daughter just started a job and I have to drive her there and back! OY!

Good morning Cammo, Barb & momma-mo . . . Barb, I hadn't noticed the misspelled word either . . . owell, we just post here

Momma-mo, sure hope you get to feeling better . . . summer colds are not fun. I didn't have a lot of success selling on eBay, but I sure have found some nice things to buy on there -- have done a lot of my Christmas shopping there in the last few years.

I'm off to my OA meeting in a bit -- gotta go by the bank first, then pick up my 9y/o charge from school (early-out Wednesday). I was trying to get ready -- dry my hair, put on my makeup, and I just got so hot I thought I'd stop & eat while I cool off . . . it really isn't hot here -- only 68 so far, but that doesn't seem to matter to my body anymore . . . I did make it to the gym this morning, in spite of waking up at 3:30 and not going back to sleep until close to 5:00 -- which was the time I'd orginally set my alarm for, but changed it after I tossed & turned for a while. Even when it wen toff at 5:30 I couldn't drag myself outta bed. So, gym was a little later than planned, but at least I got there.

Just stopping by to say hello to everyone!

Hi Deb!! Good to see you in here! . . . . . . thankfully, I require less sleep than a lot of people -- 6 hours is usually my limit. Anything under that leaves me feeling a little drained, but functional, for a few days anyway. After a few days of 4-5 hours, I find myself looking for every opportunity to take a nap. I've had too many days of it lately. Right now I'm fine. By 8:00 tonight I'm gonna be draggin' my fanny, I do believe.

I'm not going to the revival tonight cuz I have Garrett until close to 9:00 and the evenings have been too chilly to have him out -- since I know he'd lie on the ground to play with his cars

Thanks for the warm welcome, Leah!

I think I need about 8-9 hours of sleep. I rarely get more than 7 though. I seem to do alright, but I cannot wake up on my own if I've had less than 8 hours.

It would be good for me to be a morning person so I could get a head start on the family, but as it is, I get up before most of them anyway, just a shorter time period before the house gets hopping!

Good Thur. Morning Everyone
I got a good nights sleep.so I'm feeling wonderful this morning
Altho I did open one eye at 2:30AM, to see what time it was. The police car, or EMS truck, was buzzing down a road near us, with the loud sirens going. That is very unusual for us to hear that. Hope nobody was hurt .
My mom mod was on..thinking about my own kids, and where they might be. Then I told myself they were all at there homes fast asleep.
Otherwise I slept the whole night through.
We have 59 degrees outside this morning. Feels really nice out there. We might get some rain today tho. I have the deck door open, and the air comeing in smells so nice.
So what to do today...........
Have to call in my prescriptions for a refill. Then I will run to town tonight and pick them up. The one prescription cost me $50. I really don't like filling that one. It's some fish oil pill for my cholestrol. But it works so I better stay on it. Also have my high blood pressure pills to refill, and another one for cholestrol. As long as I have to run for that I might as well go to Wallmart. I can get the my hair shampoo, laundry soap, ect.
It always is cheaper there. Also have to pick up some batteries for my bathroom scale, and my watch. While I'm at it I need some AA and C and D batteries. Can't have them toys laying around that don't work anymore.
Ethan brought me two toys from the toybox, that don't work anymore. I had to set them on the table and promise him I would buy some batteries for them.
I only have two daycare kids this morning, so there is much I can get caught up on around the house. Then at nap-time I will get back into the sewing room and work on them quilts again. With all my scrap fabric I can make five or six small quilts. Have the fabric all cut out already.

The other night when I had my bible study, I stopped by my step-dads house to bring him some supper and dessert. He is so lonesome. I couldent stay long, but promised I would come back after my class. Well when I stopped back, he was waiting for me.We talked some, and he told me how he was sad that he did'ent have a Pastor at moms funneral. He also said he wished he would have bought her a casket with a cross on it..or at least placed a cross inside the casket with her. Funny..he never expressed any talk of God with me before. Guess he has it stirring inside him afterall. He said mom had God in her heart, and I told him I knew that already. He said she really did beleive. I told him she did indeed, because she taught us all about our Lord, when I was a small girl.
I did'ent preach to him tho. I figured he has it there, just has to think about it himself. I should have told him to find moms Bible tho. Mabey I will bring that up the next time I visit. I will try to stop once a week after my Bible study. It's hard going over there tho..he is all weepy, drinking, and everything is as mom left it. Then he is playing her music all the time. But I will try it just the same.
