When I'm at home I wear old clothes since I have a ton of pets that shed and cats with nails. So older jeans, older hoodies, older t-shirts that are already ripped, older pj pants etc. Lorne does the same thing.

When I go out I wear jeans and a t-shirt, dressier shirt, hoodie, hooded jacket etc. As soon as we get home we both change into slobby clothes again. It's kinda funny cuz one minute we both look so good and the next we look like bums. But we think we're both cute as bums so it works out. I used to dress nicely at home, but my cats put holes in too many of my nice clothes. They don't scratch or anything and I trim their nails a few times a month, but their nails still manage to put holes in my clothing. And I don't like having pet hair all over my nice clothes.

For bed I either wear one of Lorne's at home t-shirts or a long sleeved shirt of his. If it's cold I wear pj/yoga pants.

That's pretty much mine as well.

Oh, I don't think being home is a reason to look homeless either...but with all the food splats and other um, substances my sister gets on me during the day, I find wearing scrubs the most practical....it protects my other clothes.....and my sweats for the gym are always fairly new, freshly washed and iron, and my T-shirt is always a matching freshly washed and ironed one......I didn't mean I wore grungy dirty holy sweats...

I also forgot to add that for doing something with a friend, or having company over, or going to a church supper, I'll also wear a nice pants or skirt outfit....

If family is over I dress like a bum and hope they will too. If Lorne's friends come over even just for a few minutes I make sure to dress nicely enough so I don't look like a slob, but not nice enough that I have to put any effort into it. It's not like they care how I look and I've seen the both of them look like complete bums and never cared.

And like I said before, if I ever wear anything nice at home it gets covered in hair and ends up with holes in it so I think I have the right to dress like a slob right?

That wasn't diercted at you!! I'm sorry if you took offense. It was a general comment that was directed at what I've seen on TV (I'm divorcing my wife because she doesn't care about anything type shows and "How Do I Look" type shows,) what I see in the grocery store, and what I have seen dropping their kiddos off at schools. I don't have a problem with lounge clothes or sweats around the house at all, but I am not interested in scaring dh or myself when I pass by a mirror, either, by wearing mismatched clothing that doesn't fit or isn't in good repair. I'm really sorry that I spoke hastily and seemed to be speaking about all casual clothing around the house. I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings for all the world!!!

It sounds to me like you are dressing for you job, which is appropriate. Even going above and beyond!! Do you really iron your sweats? My gym clothes have never been introduced to an iron!!

I don't iron anything unless I have too, so I never thought of ironing my gym clothes.

Oh, no you did NOT offend me at all.......I just felt the need to explain....and actually, one thing I wanna do if/when (hopefully when rather than if , I get married is to always try and dress nicely for my husband....including wearing attractive intimate attire ).

Yes, I iron my sweats....jeans, sweaters, and polyester type fabrics that don't have to be ironed are about the only things I don't iron. Yes, I'm a little picky, lol.

I haven't ironed anything in like 3 years or more. I always shake my wet clothing and hang them to dry and all the wrinkles go byebye on their own!

lol! That's why I love my velour track type suits in the winter. They never need ironing and since I have the matching jackets(I know, totally soccer mom-ish) they look more pulled together and fit better than sweats so I don't feel like a slouch in them, but still very comfortable for lounging. I don't wear them out though...a little too tush-fitting for the general public

I have yet to be able to wear clothes with tears or stains(except my paint clothes I keep packed away) or mix-matched things, even just around the house. My friends say who cares if they are just at home, but it makes me feel too frumpy. Plus, I like being dressed decently when my husband comes home.

I wear jeans, long shorts, or knee-length skirts with v-neck t-shirts and sandals in the summer. I tend to wear the skirts with my nicer t-shirts the days we go out.

I wear jeans or long skirts with long sleeved t-shirts, hoodies, or sweaters with tennis shoes or boots (dressy or barn) in the spring, fall, and winter.

Sundays I'm slightly dressier. The shirt may be button down.

I'm not really interested in owning several pair of shoes or worrying about whether I have stains on my t-shirt. I'm down on the floor with my boys, I'm grabbing the dog, I'm washing dishes and cleaning up the dirt. Clothes are not a big part of who I think I am or how I feel about myself.

For work...jeans or dockers with a nice top or t-shirt, either flip flops, clogs or tennis shoes. At home, yoga pants or pj bottoms with a t-shirt, tank top or nightshirt, or shorts/t-shirt, or something a little nicer if I'm going out.
otherwise, depends on the situation...
Now...if at work I have to go down to the ship, the nastiest, most raggedy jeans I own, an old t-shirt and workboots (and hard hat)...(outfit stashed in my desk drawer).

I think this winter I might "dress" a little more at work...but since our dress code is essentially "please wear clothes", it doesn't really matter. I could use a new wardrobe, but I seem to spend the $$$ on dressing my little girls....

We're very casual around here. Comfy shorts and t-shirts at home, jeans/capris/sometimes khakis when going out. I rarely wear dresses/skirts, and the man rarely wears dressy slacks.

I'm usually in flip flops.

When we're home alone, we don't really care if our clothes match perfectly either. If they're clean and comfy, we're happy.

I wear dresses/skirts all the time. The only time I wore pants was to work when my black skirt was dirty! I only own 2 pair of pants total!!! My daughters wear dresses/skirts most of the time also. They are allowed to wear pants/long shorts when they are outside riding bikes or on the swings. Or when daddy dressed them. lol He isn't good at coordinating dresses and such. He would leave them in jammies all day if he could.

I live in flip flops in the summer at home.

No tan line, easy to put on/take off, cheap to replace, comfy.....

LOL!!! I've had a very distinct flip-flop tan line on my feet all summer . . . . . .

Around the house, I wear a t-shirt or tank top with yoga pants or cotton shorts. That's what I wear to bed, too. They're not grungy, so I will run a quick errand in these clothes (just to get some milk or drop books in the slot at the library or something)

Out and about I wear nice jeans (or capris) and flattering top, with coordinating flip flops or flats.

To the mall/out to dinner I wear nice jeans with a dressier top and cute heels.

To church I wear dressy slacks and a dressy top, or a cute skirt/top or a dress.

In the fall/winter/spring, I have a jean jacket that I LOVE and I wear it over everything.

I wonder if some of this is regional? Especially the work dress codes/attire? I've heard and noticed that Phoenix is more casual about clothes than other parts of the country.
Almost everywhere I wear jeans/denim capris/capris and a nice-ish shirt. By that I mean cut nicer than a t-shirt, but not quite as nice as a nice shirt. If I"m not feeling particularly ambitious, I'll wear a t-shirt. My work is very casual since I spend my days down on the floor with my kiddos and only go into the office about once a week. Sometimes I'll wear a skirt or khakis, but not very often. I wear tennis shoes 98% of the time. Surprisingly enough, I rarely wear shorts out and about- they make me very self-conscious. My church attire is pretty much the same- our church dress code is as casual or dressy as you want to be. At home I'll sometimes change into sweat pants if I want to be comfy. When I work out, I wear sweat shorts or sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt.

Stacy, we get pretty hot here too(although not as hot as you) and I still don't wear shorts during the summer. I just don't feel modest in them, and my thighs rub and make them ride up in the crotch. Then I'm constantly picking at them, and that is NOT attractive. Skirts or jeans are what I wear all summer long, not even capris.

It gets hot here too. SHORTS are definitely worn on the weekends.

At work there are a lot of the gaucho style pants in the summer.

I live in the south and everything goes here at work... it just depends on where you work and what that company feels is appropriate. You see everything from corporate to uniforms to subcasual, so I would guess it would depend on the line of work and company policy more than the region. that may be wrong, but that's my impression.

Five days a week I wear woodland BDUs and steel-toed combat boots. However, when I get home and my off days I'm usually in a fitted or snug t-shirt and a skirt or jeans/capris, either of which are so much more comfortable. (Hopefully I will soon be done with a uniform forever!)
I don't like shorts so much, but I think that's partly because I have trouble finding any that actually fit correctly. And I find skirts much cooler being in a humid climate right now (GA), while at home (AZ) skirts and jeans both work for summer.

Mainly jeans and tshirt.

To bed, shorts and a tank top.

To a wedding, about the only time you'll see me in a dress.

For every day, I wear jeans (none of those ripped or really faded ones, I never did understand that style!), a t-shirt, and sneakers. They aren't athletic shoes, I only wear those for running, I prefer All-Stars. I kind of have a thing for those shoes, I even wore them with a dress to a wedding. (that probably brings to mind an awful mental picture, but it was actually pretty cute, just unconventional) When I go to work, I will wear darker(and therefore dressier) jeans and a nice shirt. I work at a library, so skirts aren't really practical because I have to crouch or kneel when I'm shelving, and also if I wear anything too fancy, it could get wrecked, some of the older books are not the cleanest! When I go to church, I always wear a skirt and a dressier top. I'm on the worship team, so I can't dress sloppily.

At work (main job anyway) I wear business casual....either a skirt or khakis. On fridays we can wear jeans (YAYYYY) so today I wore a polo w/ my jeans.

Other times it depends on if I'm coming straight from work or what the occasion is. I used to be completely jeans/tshirt....nowadays I only have a few tshirts in my wardrobe so I usually only wear when I'm going ultra-casual.

I also am a shoe minimalist. If i could get away w/ wearing flip flops all the time I would!!

My main job is at a Christian school but I work before and after school providing care for kids whose parents need them there early or late:

In the AM I follow the school dress code: no jeans or shorts or t-shirts...unless it's a jeans dress down day.

When I get home I usually change into jeans or shorts and a more casual t-shirt. However, I do have one pair of capris that I will wear all day.

After school I wear what I have worn around all day.

If I am going to be doing dirty work around the house: really cleaning or baking or cooking something that gets my hands at all dirty I will put on an older t-shirt and older jeans that may even have a hole in the knee so I don't get grease stains or whatever on my nicer jeans.

If I am going out for the purpose of socializing with people I know (home fellowship group, etc) I will wear nicer jeans/short and a top that isn't 5+ years old.

If I am just running to the store or something I wear whatever I have on.

I sleep in an old t-shirt and shorts or pj pants.

Church: like I do for work in the AM.

Basically, whatever I put on in the am (after work (I am home by 8:30) or church) I keep on all day unless I have special plans for the evening.

Shoes come off as soon as I walk in the door.

To bed I wear flannelette pj pants with singlet top.

Daywear at home - trackies or jeans and a t-shirt.

Workwear - dress pants (permanent press) or a skirt with a top (preferably jersey so that I don't have to iron it), heels and simple jewelry/makeup.

Sundays/going out - dress/skirt and top or nice pants and top with jewelry, heels and simple makeup.

Bed - I wear long pj bottoms and any old vest that's lying around.

Home - Usually pj bottoms (just because I HAVE to be comfy!) and whatever top I feel like wearing (I have a variety)

Outdoor chores or uni - My fav dark blue chords and a top or very casual skirt/dress with tights if it's cold

Shopping or fun going out - Same as above except I do my hair and makeup!
