WEATHERFORD, Texas -- Never before had New Life Community Church seen such revival crowds, night after night, week after week. Previous revivals lasted a week at best. But church officials said the one that began Sept. 26 attracted worshipers who filled the 200-seat sanctuary five nights a week for 10 weeks. The church, which collected offerings at each service, said 8,000 people from across North Texas and six states had
attended the revival at the small neighborhood church about 35 miles west of Port Worth and has a regular membership of 250.

There was something different about this revival, which resumed on the weekend.

It wasn't the spirited contemporary Christian music or the rousing sermon. Nor was it the joy and uncontrolled crying when worshipers were touched or lightly blown upon by a visiting evangelist or a church elder -- now a
common feature of Pentecostal revivals and known as being "slain by the spirit." What set the Weatherford services apart was the insistence of dozens of people that gold teeth, crowns, plates, bridges and bands had materialized in their mouths afterward.

Call it divine dentistry.

GOLD DENTISTRY

quote:

"It happened right before our eyes... a translucent film that looked like clear Jell-O.. The gold fluid moved to the tooth beside it.. People surged to see it.. she had five gold crowns an hour later.. and received two more during the night. "My mouth feels so clean," she said.. "I had so much tartar built up - it's all gone. It's like I've been to the dentist.. Linda said: "God is trying to give us all a gift of faith and shake us away from our unbelief so He can bring a major revival of healing."

quote:

[Erie Morning News - January 11, 2000. The story appeared on the front page along with a large picture of a gold tooth in a person's mouth. Near the end of the article, a dentist, who has been practicing dentistry for 32 years, attributes the phenomena to alchemy - occult practice].

quote:

But gold teeth are the latest revival twist, a phenomenon that was first
reported in Argentina during the 1980s and spread to Mexico, South Africa, Canada and Britain, according to Canada's Christian Week newspaper. Now it has hit the U.S. circuit.

Looks like it goes back to the 1980s at least.

quote:

Gold teeth suddenly stopped appearing in the Canadian coal-mining town of Lethbridge last spring after a religious broadcaster made it known that he received a "miraculous" gold crown, and then checked with his dentist. Dr. Jack Sherman informed Dick Dewert that he had fitted the crown 11 years before. Dewert owned up to the fact in a letter to the local newspaper, but he became the object of public ridicule.

This needs to be exposed best we can.

quote:

After a service, Connell said, some people reported similar gold crowns only to remember that they had gotten them in a dentist's chair years earlier. Still, most are the work of God, he said. "They're beautiful teeth, absolutely beautiful," said Connell, whose congregation is affiliated with the International (Church of the Four Square Gospel, founded by evangelist Amy McPherson. "The question is, Why gold teeth? Why not perfect health? We just feel God is touching and saying, 'Have a little gold.' It's a sign."

They are so delusional and they don't even realize it. It's amazing how people just follow the crowd.

Unfortunately I have some friends that have fallen for the prophetic movement and the apostle movement. They were telling me to watch the Florida thing on Godtv because it was so amazing. God is really moving they said.

With this stuff going on, it just gives more fuel to the fire of the world thinking we Christians are foolish.

In Revelation it says our "testimony" is to be the "Blood of the Lamb."

quote:

Testimonies should not be based on physical manifestations.

quote:

Obviously Alchemy is a form of witchcraft. It is an area much discussed in occult writings. Actual physical manifestations were not part of the teachings. The goal of the alchemist from a spiritual point of view is to transform a character of man from a base character to a spiritual being without the Holy Spirit. They hope to achieve heaven outside of having to conform to Jesus Christ.

The reason it is related to Astrology is that Astrology deals with characteristics of men and women. The character ideally needs to be transformed to gold, spiritual perfection. The Bible addresses the process of purification in Malachi 3:3 just so the Jews would understand what God was trying to convey, but it would not be through Astrology, but the refiner's fire meaning tribulation, if they rejected Christ His Son.

Ancient Masons invented Astrology. The compass and spuare, their main symbol, are used to draw the circle and divide it into twelve segments. The compass and square comprise the Pentagram. They also represent harmony and discord in life. The compass represents the harmony and square discord. It is held in Astrology that discord is the transformer of character and should be invited. They advise to have a dog to love and be loved if there are no people to do it with, to encourage the transforming of the character to unconditional godly love. God is love. Transmutation in relation to Alchemy is through living life focused on loving humanity, which is a brotherhood. The Gospel tells us to separate from the world and touch not the unclean. We are to overcome the world with the help of the Holy Spirit.

ORIGINS

In what seems like another life, nearly thirty years ago it must have been, I attended a church meeting where a missionary group from Argentina, or possibly Paraguay, sang upbeat songs and talked about their work.

They were called something like Los Picaflores, which I believe means "Butterflies" (??) Understandably, my memories are sketchy, but I do recall being impressed by their descriptions of meetings amongst the poor of the land, many of whom had very bad teeth and were unable to afford treatment.

The speaker explained how some of the congregation discovered at the end of their gospel meeting that their teeth had been filled. I believe these were gold fillings, and I even recall that one was marked with the sign of the cross, a phenomenon that has now been reproduced. (This is confirmed by the statement of David Pytches above.)

At the time, I was a young believer, impressionable and gullible. I believed every word of the report I heard; indeed, it seemed entirely reasonable that an almighty and loving God would give poor people fillings for their bad teeth.

Today we live in a less innocent world and cannot accept such stories at face value. The Church has changed almost out of recognition and the context for such miraculous works has shifted. Today gold teeth are being gleefully displayed by rich Westerners who already have personal doctors and dentists, and they are taken as a proof of the Lord's favour. The revival needed authentication, and here it is!

John Arnott told a Canadian newspaper

"You're skeptical at first. It takes us a while to learn that, really,
God can do everything," he said. Verifying the claims has proven
inconclusive, but that doesn't matter, he added.
==============================================
But Machado, who attributes the manifestation to her divine
healing from cancer, is untroubled by the conclusions of the
analyses carried out on behalf of "Charisma" magazine. "To me,
it doesn't matter what it is as long as it's from God", she said.
==============================================
Here at the Family Christian Center, Pastor Rich Oliver draws
back his lip and displays a glittering gold crown he says God
gave him in March. Actually, dental records show his previous
dentist put the crown in on April 29, 1991. When confronted
with those records, Oliver says: "I'd have to say I was absolutely
wrong . . . [but] none of it distracts from the fact that I know
God is a healer."

So Pastor Rich Oliver bold faced LIED to his church, from the pulpit, to all... the real problem? He lied under the guise of Christianity, no shame or fear of God!

A quick note... someone needs to inform John Arnott that God cannot do anything/everything.

These reports only serve to prove that objects transformed to gold (whether rosaries or teeth!), and gold dust sprinklings are no new phenomenon and are not as uncommon as charismatics like to think. Furthermore, the most usual place to witness these "miracles" is at a Marian Shrine.

But Ship of Fools editor Simon Jenkins says church leaders are irresponsible to encourage reports of "miracles".

He said that doing so was dangerous for the church - which may be made to look ridiculous through unresearched claims - and for individuals, who may feel cheated when they discover that the dentist put a filling there, and they had just forgotten about it.

He said: "My criticism is for church leaders who do not think it through, who do not put a break on these claims before they have been whipped up.

"We have the worst conflict going on in Europe since WWII, and yet we have these people saying God is performing trivial magic tricks.

I just got back from the dentist a couple days ago.

I told the Lord if He wanted to He could give me new
tooth on the way to the dentist that morning. I told
the dentist that as I found out he was a true believer.

I told him I guess I was to be content with the dentist
that God gave me. lol.

When did extractions go from $25.00 to $250.00? LOL.

Okay, those liars who claim to have gotten gold teeth
from God, but forgot the dentist put them there will tell
me I don't have any faith. Yeah, right!

With all the talk of the "miracles" that are being done,
I would challenge anyone as others have been to provide
actual 'verifiable' proof they got gold teeth from God
without the aid of a dentist. lol.

We'll be waiting.

Carl,

This man is named Brandon. He use to attend the school I am at, and is the ring leader for this whole Latter Rain movement among college students here in Minneapolis, specifically, at my school.

I use to enter into discussion with him, but instead of ever answering my questions, he would call me a heretic, command me to repent at his rebuke for being below the kingdom level, accuse of listening to demons and even said I was possessed by "religious demons." Recently, he has blocked me from seeing his profile or to comment on anything he posts online. I have gotten my school behind me, or at least the right people, and he is no longer allowed to step onto our campus. However, he continues to hold meetings at the University of Minnesota.

It's been a challenge, as more and more students, and even friends of mine, latch onto Brandon's ministry (Red Letter Ministries). I do my best to stand on the wall and sound my alarm, but itching ears will hear only what they want.

I commend you Ben.

You are right. Those who listen to God will listen to you.
Those who do not listen to God will turn a deaf ear to you.
Those are Jesus' words.

This guy is a reprobate. It didn't take long to figure that out.

Fish with gold teeth. What a laugh.
I was surprised he didn't use the episode of Jesus telling Peter
to go catch a fish with gold coins.

God said He would send such a delusion that the people will believe a lie.

What a shame that he is blind and deaf to the lies he ascribes to.

I should add that Brandon claims to have, I believe, 8 gold teeth, now. His wife has a handful, too.

What is wrong with this Brandon guy? He can't afford a shofar? Someone should tell him he can get a fairly cheap one on Ebay?

But let me tell you about teeth! Now, I used to be a dental assistant, and I have looked in many mouths! I have also mixed the amalgam for the fillings. And I have looked in my mouth many times as well, so I know an amalgam filling when I see one!

I used to have amalgam fillings, so I went over near my old church, and just being in it's presence, no kidding, all my amalgam fillings were taken away. Gone! Not There!

Now, I recognize that we Messianics are not as holy as some others, who get gold teeth. Alas, I only got white teeth. The old fillings are truly gone, and my teeth are pearly-white! Yes! It can even happen to Messianics!

Of course, my dentist is just a couple blocks from the old church, and I am still paying for those pretty white fillings, but hey! I got them just outside that church!

Just another example of charasmatics gone awry giving true Pentecost a bad name. This gold tooth movement insanity almost sounds like something you would also get from the prosperity gospel playbook also. A perfect example of a Word of Faith/prosperity gospel combination.

I believe! Oh, now, I believe!

I started a wash on Friday afternoon and forgot about it, until today, when I started to throw in some of my husband's clothes. There was my wash, still there.

I started to pull it out, when paper money appeared! Paper money! Green! And lots of it! Now, those were only my clothes in there -- just a few pants -- and none of my husbands! Where did it all come from? I don't know! Therefore, it's a miracle!

I counted it: two $5 bills, five $1 bills, and two quarters. So I took the money out, flattened it, and put the clothes in the dryer.

But I had a funny feeling. I just had this unexplainable feeling that if I went back and opened the dryer door, there would be more money. Miracle of miracles, there it was, in its green glory! Another $1 bill! Oh! Oh!

So now, it is all lying on my bed, drying.

Now, I know the government doesn't like it when we launder our money, but there it was! All laundered and sparking-clean! And hey -- it was a miracle, so the government needs to keep its nose out of it. Separation of church and state is in the Constitution, isn't it?

Now, I can go to the Not Shaking A Dirty Homeless Person's Hand? thread and tell Bzirk and Agapetos that when I receive, I get laundered money, so I don't have to worry about money being filthy!

I think this has all come about as a result of not addressing problems in evangelical Christianity for over twenty years. We'd wait for someone like Jim and Tammy Baker to fall apart instead of confronting the issues before that happened. Well...now we've got hyper-patriarchy, a three ring circus of outrageous false signs and wonders, self-appointed apostles, self-appointed prophets with loyal followers but a low accuracy rate, WOF still around and if anything even more accepted and entrenched, and folks out there thinking they're going to be God's holy army to be handed dominion over governments. And many of the emergents playing fast and lose with essentials of the faith. So it's not just charismatcs...it's nutso stuff coming at us from all sides.
