Okay, I got it back. Whew!

I ordered tickets for all 7 nights. Trying to get two seats together as close as possible to the stage was really tough!

I also used two windows while ordering so I would know where I would be sitting. I did not get a confirmation e-mail but the final page of the order said to print that page for my records so I did.

Who will be doing the program on Sunday evening? Have they announced that yet?

They don't have anything announced that I have been able to find. Since they have had L5 and the Booth Brothers for the past two years at the Sunday concert, I wouldn't be surprised if they stay with tradition and have them again.

I wouldn't mind a bit either!

That's where I got distracted with family issues and didn't do!!!

I wrote and asked them about their lineup for next year. They wrote back and said that we should keep checking because it will take a few more weeks to get everything finalized.

Did not get to go this year.... but making plans for next year. Had started new job and it was Peak week during NQC so no chance of getting off to go to NQC 2008 but will be at NQC 2009 Lord willing, yeah.

A lot of the outlaying motels don't have their rates up yet. I started checking this week. Days Inn on Fern Valley has already increased their rates by $5.00 a night SUN -THUR this week. They started at Senior Rate $49.49 and have gone up to $54.99. Friday - Saturday night $69.00. Some of the other rates are higher next year. Guess they found another way to get our money with NQC in town.

Hopefully D. Ann Bailey will see this post and tell me about the Sleep Inn they stayed at. Convenient to Freedom Hall, cleanliness, etc.

DON'T stay at Red Roof Inn Airport either!!

We didn't go expecting 5 star service, but that hotel didn't even have 1/2 star service! One of their employees pounded and pounded on our door one morning when we were still sleeping, and then when we didn't answer, the guy opened the door. DUH! Supposedly someone claimed our "TV was blaring..." yea right - it wasn't on all morning. Then 1 hour later (still morning, still sleeping), the phone rings right in our ear and they're claiming our TV was "on again" blaring and disrupting the room next to us.

Hello? The guy was just up there and saw we were sleeping and hadn't touched the TV! Wow...never in my life.

Later we tried calling to get more towels, and the lady said she couldn't send any up because she "didn't have a radio" or "anyone to send up there" even though there were cleaning people around.

What's more, the people that did have the towels couldn't even speak English...so when you went to tell them what you wanted you had to do sign language...

And to top it all off - we ran out of water for an evening! We called down and the guy was like "Well you can live with it or check out." Oh yea, like checking out in the middle of NQC week is a good idea. WOW.

People who know me, know I'm pretty long-suffering, but this hotel absolutely drove me hysterical. Don't even consider going there. Resist the urge. Don't do it.

p.s. I saw Adam Crabb and his family were there...wonder if they're going back?

We stayed our two nights there at Comfort Suites Airport. Nice place. Would certainly stay there again. Good breakfast also. Hotel is 3 years old. Very nice and clean. 5 minute drive to Freedom Hall.

Santa, for the past three or four years we have stayed at the Sleep Inn right by the Expo center. We have always been very pleased. They gave us a reservation sheet for next year. The rate has gone up to $119 per night. Perks include continental breakfast, and a computer in the lobby available to the guests.

I rechecked the motel today that I had made reservations for 2009. The rate today is $99.99 a night. The reservations I made yesterday morning (20th) Sun - Thur was $54.99 Fri - Sat $69.99. Same type room and everything. Wonder how much higher they will go?

My NQC 2009 tickets arrived in the mail today!

Now I have to put them somewhere safe and easy to remember so that I can find them again when next September rolls around!

I have some questions for those who have attended NQC before. Are the showcases also ticketed events? If so, when do they normally go on sale? How about the other events during the day such as the bible study/chapel meeting, softball game, etc?

The better showcase tickets are ticketed. They have a free showcase with lesser known local type artist. Bible Study and Chapel Service is free. I'd wait on showcase tickets until they post the showcase schedule. They are all general admission seats. You buy one showcase ticket for the entire day and can get in any showcase that day. You just show your ticket when you go in the door. This year the showcase tickets were different prices. They had a package deal where you could buy three day tickets and save several dollars. Looking forward to meeting you next year if we don't cross paths before then.

Which Sleep Inn is that? I tried looking it up online and discovered that there are several Sleep Inns in and around Louisville!

I look forward to meeting you as well, and many others that I have talked to on here. So far, the only ones I have met are Donna and her husband (though I don't think he is registered on here), and some of the artists who occasionally post or lurk on here.

Jeff, there's really no value in buying the Showcase tickets early since seating is first come, first served. Also, one of the Bible Studies this year required a Showcase ticket, Dr. David Jeremiah's study. Most daily Showcase tickets are the same $$, but this year the ticket that included the Gaither Vocal Band/Signature Sound was $5 higher.

And you're right, my hubby isn't on the forums. I sometimes read stuff to him, but no way am I gonna let him touch my laptop and get on the Internet!!!!

My hubby can't type so he isn't on here either! Unfortunately I have to share time with him so he can play some games on the computer. I hate that!!! Stingy! Stingy!

I checked there and other choice hotels and they all come up not available. When do they usually put their hotel reservations on line?

I think right now you either have to go through the NQC hotel link, or having stayed there this year, they give up applications for the next year. It will probably be August when the NQC releases the hotel rooms.

Edited for spelling.

We have been going to NQC for years, even when it was still in Nashville. We have stayed at hotels all over town. We love staying as close to Freedom Hall as we can, but the cost most of the time outweighs that benefit. This past year we stayed on the east end of town at Hyatt Place. We got a great rate and the hotel was superb. It is further to drive, but we do not attend the showcases during the day. There was a shuttle bus (it did have problems with scheduling though) that ran from the Marriott on the east end of town and the cost of the shuttle was less than the cost to park and to drive into Freedom Hall each night. And the bus picked dropped you off at front door and picked you up at the front.
