I agree with you about the candidates and cleaning house. However, I think all the government should give it is a band aide fix. By band aide I mean a little bit of aide to help them with the notes they already have written, but for Heaven's sake do not let them write anymore!

Just like any politician who makes bad judgments from time to time. Remember Eron, Worldcom, and that cable company that escapes me at the moment? Oh, and Bernie Ebbers, CEO of Worldcom was a Sunday School Teacher. Hmmmm. I guess he wasn't saved either. But I digress. Every politician takes some form of money from someone they think is doing well. I'll have to learn more about lobbyists and politicians accepting money from them. I'm not clear whether it is morally wrong to accept money from anyone or not. It sure isn't illegal apparently.
At one time, Fannie and Freddie were essential to keep the American Dream alive for many. Should they have been regulated more? Well, hind-site is 20/20. Again, I'll give McCain his kudos for getting it right before it all went down.

I bought some stock a few years ago and planned on selling it at a higher price. Imagine my horror when it went down and didn't come back up. I should have written my congresswoman.
