Woman Gets Life For Sex With 5-Year-Old

SANFORD, Fla. -- A Florida woman will spend the rest of her life in prison for having sex with a 5-year-old boy.
Sanford convicted Kelly Lumadue, 33, for videotaped sex acts with the boy. It was Lumadue's second trial for the crime.
A garbage collector found the sex tapes in the trash and turned them over to police.
When Lumadue took the stand, she said her husband -- who is a professional pornographer -- made her do it.
The victim did not testify during the case. He said he doesn't remember what happened.

I hate the excuses of some people. I really do. Why dont they just say they are sick and wrong and leave it at that?
This case, like so many others just like it, makes me ill. I pray for the victim. The 5 year old. Thats the only victim in this case.

children are among the bottom of the list when it comes to protecting them. More money is spent on saving endangered wildlife than on protecting children.

What I am bearing is logic.
You cannot tell what a videotape contains without watching it. The garbage customers in question were professional pornographers. It stands to reason that the garbage collector(s) knew this and had a habit of looking for entertainment in that particular pickup.
If the garbage collector did not know what was on the tape, why on earth would he/she watch it? And I think the above scenario is far more likely than someone grabbing, by chance, for the very first time, a homemade videotape out of the garbage can and taking it home to see what was on it and finding kiddie porn.

soelpme people scare me i hope she gets life but knowing our court system she will get a light setione and get mentenal help. may god be with that little boy trouth and make sure he dont get any prombles thanks to thesepeople

A jury's responsibility is completely different from an armchair commentator's responsibilities. My opinion bears no weight on the garbage collector's life. I just find it extremely hard to believe that one day he grabbed a tape out of the garbage out of curiosity, with no other compelling reason, and it happened to be this tape. If I were a betting woman, I would be that this was the result of a habit this person had, in which case, I have a lot of respect for him for going to the police and fessing up!
Garbage companies probably have rules about taking things, as well.
Btw, I am a big believer in our system of justice. My parents met arresting bad guys. However, our constitution guarantees freedom of speech and opinion as well as a presumption of innocence in the system. The presmption of innocence is not binding on the rest of us, you know.

For all we know, the tape could have been labeled...maybe the garbage collector didn't watch porn at all, but had suspicious feelings about that house and was keeping his eyes open. I know when I worked at a pre school we were mandated reporters...maybe garbage collectors are mandated to turn suspicious things in. It isn't fair at all to start accusing the garbage collector of things with no proof. In fact, unless at some point he is proven to be a shoddy character, at this point he is the HERO!
Of course in our town, the only garbage collectors are the ones that drive the truck..the ones that used to be on the back have been replaced by an automatic crane.

i agree with one of his jewels if the garbage person did not find that tape that little 5 year old would have been holding that memory in his head all his life and prombly ould not know hoe to tell anyone that.

I'm surprised that she got the sentence she did. It seems that men who molest girls get longer sentences than women who molest boys. At least that is the impression that I get from all of the stories of teachers who molested kids.
In this instance, justice was blind and they didn't look at it as a female perp but rather an innocent child who deserved justice for what was done to him.

Oh yeah, that's right focus on everyone but the perpetrator. Let's all look at the garbage man instead of the monster who committed the crime. I'm surprised someone hasn't blamed the 5 year-old victim in some way.

Kat, that is not what is happening. Look at the first phrase of my first post.
Frankly, I don't know what else can be said about this woman and her husband (who I hope is also facing charges for filming this atrocity). They are terrible, evil, sick people who should never see a sunrise again. What else can be said?
