Has this ever been done before?.

I thought it might be amusing and encouraging to nominate our fellow cross-walk family in various categories. The rules are simple: out of the list below simply nominate the person whom you feel best fits the category and perhaps after 30 days we will crown a winner . This thread is meant to be light, and to accentuate the best qualities in our CW family..........so HAVE FUN!!!! ****you don't have to nominate in all categories, choose whichever you want, whenever you want****

1. Who is the most encouraging?(you can describe or paste a response to a post that you feel exemplifies this point when you nominate the person).

2. Who has the best avatar? most creative avatar?

3. Who is the most creative topic starter?(you may give examples).

4. Who gives the best advice?(give examples---perhaps a one-liner)

5. Most humorous?

6. Most thought provoking thread?

7. Most controversial(this is simply meant to nominate the person who has the most unique and debatable ideas/topics .

8. Best demonstration of love and kindness?

9. Most memorable newcomer?

ETA:

10. One who is most "seasoned"(able to accurately debate, defend, present)God's word/biblical doctrine.

11. Most humble
Please provide examples( suggest posssible categories)........and good luck!

***you can nominate up to however many you want(w/in reason) people in the same category***

For #9 I must nominate NUINCHRIST for a thread she started in the relationship folder. It's most memorable because the situation is so typical of the fact that we christians do struggle(in various areas)and I'm proud of her for making a decision and sticking with it.

I must also nominate SOUTHERNBELLEGRITS for best advice(and I may be a bit biased)for advice she gave me in the parenting folder---titled; AM I BEING MEAN OR A MOM-- a few months ago).

**I'm thinking we should be able to nominate more than 2 now **

For best advice I also nominate PRINCESSDONNA. I can't recall a particular comment/thread but she stands out in my mind.

COME ON GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOMINATE!!!!!!!!

#4 Liveloved and URForgiven

I have to put these two, their responses on the "I need your prayers" thread are what God used to open my eyes and turn to Jesus. So I thank God that for them and allowing God to use them to bring me to Christ.

First, note that even as a moderator I don't read even half of the threads on the forums. So I'm SURE to miss some great nominees!

1. Who is the most encouraging? Liveloved

2. Who has the best avatar? most creative avatar?

3. Who is the most creative topic starter? Little_1, Walker311

4. Who gives the best advice? bzirk, deermousie

5. Most humorous?

6. Most thought provoking thread? Beanteaser's "Could Jesus Have Sinned?"

7. Most controversial? Earthless, Jhud (Not that it's a BAD thing...)

8. Best demonstration of love and kindness?

9. Most memorable newcomer? In a good or bad way? LOL! I could name you some real doozies...

I'll have to come back and fill in some of the others. I have people in mind, but I want to make sure that I get them right.

Suggestion for #10 - most humble. I nominate 1love1God1way

Edit: Would it be too much to have a #11 for "Most Obnoxious"?

Just askin'

I though of one like that.. but this is supposed to be lighthearted and encouraging. Methinks being nominated as "most obnoxious" would not exactly fit that goal.

Some of us actually might consider it a badge of honor. Not sayin' who exactly.

Edit: How about "Most Lightheartedly and Encouragingly Obnoxious"?

LOL!!

To be totally honest, I've tried to find a way to fit both you and GroupW into my nominations, but the categories just don't fit. You two are among my Top 50 (or so - never bothered to count) Favorite Forums Folks.

(And no, I will not name the other 48 for fear someone might feel left out.)

4 - zamdad
5 - wintery
7 - earthless.

That's all I got for right now.

#7 - definitely Earthless. I've already been boiled in one of the pots he's stirred up.

An award or one of the pots that Earthless stirred up?

If you guys had any idea how long it took me to make my avatar picture work you would vote for me on this one (#2) . If you are curious it is an excerpt from "The last supper" painting by Tintoretto.

You can have mine, whatever it is. I probably have three of them already, anyway.

That's what you get for working auction sales. If I find more in my basement, you can have them, too. My wife will be happy to get them out of the house.

I'm my dad's executor. Can you get the stuff out of his basement while he is still alive so I don't have to deal with it when he's gone?

That depends. How long can you distract him? And do you think he'd notice the pick-up with the horse trailer backed up to his front door?
