Wow, some great ideas and suggestions! Thank you all!

She is really improving with her individual work and is taking more initiative than before. It's really helpful when I'm on the phone, going back and forth between the shop and my office or doing invoices/accounting things. My husband own and run a automotive/performance shop. OK, basically we tend to deal with hot rods, older muscle cars and even build/restore them ground up. My husband's passion. It's not an area I know much about honestly but I"ve learned a great deal. Needless to say, I'm not mechanic so I deal with everything business related: finances, customers, accounting and customer service, etc. As dd gets older I'm sure she'll really be able to help with phones, payments and things like that. Real practical things. She can help with picking up and cleaning as well as filing. You know, maybe I'll teach her about invoicing now that I think about it. She may do very well.

We have gotten to know older clients/friends with horses that we have gone riding with. She did very well and really enjoyed it. Too bad they're kids are all grown and married. I had hoped to find something she really loved and help her pursue it. Horses can be quite expensive but I hope that these friends will allow us the opportunity to enjoy riding on ocassion. Our local 4H doesn't have a horse club. Too bad.

Thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and wonderful suggestions. They mean the world to me. Somehow with the Lord's help we will succeed and prosper!

Blessings to you all!

Allison, if there are boarding stables near you many of them will give lessons in exchange for barn help (in other words, scooping poop ). Just a thought. Horses actually don't have to be that expensive if you can have them on your property and raise them as naturally as possible, but if you hafta board then yeah, you're talking money. Also, even though your 4H doesn't have a horse club, any 4H leader can order any project book. You might want to look into some of the horse project books. Once you get past the basics, you'd be surprised at how in depth those things are. I credited Ashley with a couple of years of science just from those project books.

I strongly suspect that this will, indeed, be the case. It's amazing what heavenly (and earthly) resources are released once we make up our minds to bite the bullet, and simply "do the right thing." Your family is launched on an amazing adventure, that will shape the lives your grandkids will enjoy.

I didn't finish reading all the posts. But just wanted to let you know that many times, a local library or christian book store will know of other homeschoolers, or homeschool groups that are in town.

I'm glad to hear your daughter is doing a little better:) Hang in there mom! Considering all you do, you are doing a GREAT job!! If it takes until 5pm for her to finish her school work... theres nothing wrong with that. Sometimes I tell my kids, "we have all day, what is the rush!" Sometimes we need to learn to relax and enjoy the moments we have.
