What...like a taxidermy party?

Here is a link to the story>. Read the section under the heading "Tax Day Jamboree" (scroll down a bit) for the details.

LOL! Not off topic at all!! It's got to be the weirdest thing I've heard... in a good way, of course.

Gary, you're gonna have to take Pam to the feast next April -- you want to "share the joy" don't you?

Oh, Oh!! This is really sick... meaning you guys will love it. Check out the ROADKILL CAFE!

I am trying to convince her to share this with me.

And I have a t-shirt with the menu from your link on it.

Here's a weird question... what sorts of weird things do you do with your food that you'll have to explain to a date? Or that your spouse will have to "get used to"? Have you ever had a date look at you funny during dinner or while you're talking about food?

Right now, I'm eating watermelon... with SALT on it. It's just one of those weird things we do in my family. We used to have seed-spitting contests when I was younger.

I haven't personally done this, but I hear that people in the South put salted peanuts in their Coke. (I need to try this one day).

michelle....i've ALWAYS put salt on my water- and musk-melon. not that i can't eat it plain...i just like the salt, too.

weird southern thing my ex used to do....salt on oranges. not bad...just weird.

i have 2 primary 'weird' food things:
1) my food cannot touch, and
2) i eat everything in clockwise order...one thing at a time.

i cant wait to read what else everyone else does that's weird. (giggle)

The other day I ate the parsley on my plate. Usually I don't, but it is edible, is supposed to freshen breath, clean the palate, and how can that little thing have any calories?

Only 2% of it is eaten, btw. Imagine trying to farm something and keep it real nice looking so it can be trashed! How insulting!

Peanut butter is good in a cored-out apple, or with bananas as a sandwich, or in the track of celery, and then for the peas-de-resis-tahns, you can put raisins on the peanut butter. That's ants on a log for you.

There's nothing like a cafeteria, a milkshake that is just right, and a straw for making an air raid sound blowing across the straw top as the milkshake drops. There was also the cruel joke of making a condiment packet into an exploding grenade, as it were, by rolling it up tight and sliding it across the floor. Contact just right would make that thing shoot off 20'. I'm not saying I perfected that one.

PB is also very tasty on corn-on-the-cob!!!

What is a musk-melon? Sounds kinda powerful.

I would gross out all of the "food mustn't touch" people ... I kinda like it when mine gets mixed up, depending on what it is.

Musk melon is the same as cantaloupe. I like salt on mine too. Never tried salt on watermelon though. Maybe next time.

Someone at work eats dill pickle and peanut butter sandwiches.

I put chips on my sandwiches.

I like to dip peanut butter sandwiches (or hot dogs) into my chili.

I like to dip french fries, soft pretzels, cheetos and cool ranch doritos into ice cream.

I dunno if those are weird or not though... not weird to me!

I don't like any of my food to touch unless it's supposed to.

I dip french fries in bbq, ranch, Zax sauces, but not catsup.

I like to stir my ice cream with chocolate sauce until it's rather like ice cream soup.

Hmmm...as far as date wise, I don't think there is anything I do that's too 'weird'. I'm VERY picky about how my steaks are cooked, I can't eat too much dairy or I'll be sick the whole evening (which nixes eating ice cream while strolling on the beach!).

I don't like my food touching...at all...and have even ordered dishes to be on the side so they don't.

I never knew so many people didn't like their food to touch!!!! I don't see the big deal because as my older brother says "It all goes to the same place anyway" (He'd say as he'd stick a little bit of everything from his plate on a roll. At least he outgrew that).

OOOH!

When I was little my mom wanted me to eat everything on my plate rather than leaving a little bit of each thing (which I do to this day, actually). She scraped everything together and shoved it down my throat.

Needless to say, it didn't stay there and she had a nice rainbow o' vomit to clean up afterward!!!

I have this really weird habit of eating one food at a time, like I will eat all my mashed potatoes,

then all my fried chicken, etc. I have already had to explain this one to tons of my guy friends

who think it is really strange, since they just pretty much shove all their food in their mouth! LOL!

I don't know why I do this, I just always have!

reminds me of a season six arthur episode "Arthur and Los Vecinos" where dw saves the day by informing the new neighbors that green and white foods can NEVER touch each other and rescuing their daughter from a tantrum. (It's a three-and-seven-eighths thing.)

This discussion reminds me of a science fiction novel I read many years back. An alien spy's cover was blown because of the particular way he ate his food... one thing at a time, and nothing touching anything else. (They just thought it was weird until a captured alien pointed out that's how all their people ate.)

Either we have a lot of aliens on this forum or the author just didn't get out much.

It would have to be that the author just didn't get out much, because I don't turn into an alien at

night, I turn into a gremlin?!?!?! LOL!

There's no rhyme or reason in the way I eat. I eat whatever, whenever. THe only rule I have is that I don't overeat all the time....maybe once a week, or during special occasion.

My 11 year old daughter has a very funny way of eating the best for last. She'll endure eating the ****py stuff first, then, enjoy and savor whatever she really likes best at the end of her meal. I always tell her to eat the best first because what if she chokes while eating the bad stuff...then, she'd never get to enjoy the good stuff. Lol! But I think she's got this habit so ingrained in her eating that she won't listen. Oh well.

Back in the fifties, Oscar Mayer actually produced a bacon flavored peanut butter. It was quite popular from what I'm told by my mother.

Other weird things I do:
Salt on watermelon
Salt and pepper on Cantelope
Dip peanut butter sandwiches in chili
I Make loose meat sandwiches, but I stir mustard into the loose meat until it's a kind of paste before I put it on the bread.
I like butterscotch on chocolate ice cream with lots of crushed peanuts and marachino cherries. (I've been told by everyone I meet that it's weird.)
I like mustard on scrambled eggs.

I do the same thing as your daughter. I always save the meatballs in the Spaghetti-O's for last.

Me too! LOL! The meatballs are the best part of Spaghetti-O's! I thought of something else

weird I do, I like to go to McDonald's and get a chocolate shake and french fries and dip my

french fries in my shake, it grossed one of my friends out so bad that he refuses to eat there

with me anymore! LOL! (and yet he dips chocolate covered pretzels in cheez whiz, go figure!)
