I hate bologna! (Anybody else have to sing the song to spell it?)

Only weird things about me are I love peanut butter pickle sandwiches. If the peanut butter is crunchy its much better, and the pickles have to be dill.
Also, I eat parmesan cheese on EVERYTHING. There's not much I won't put it on, or I wouldn't try to at least once.

You're old enough to know that song? Click here for 1973 version.

They just did a talent search not that long ago where the kids had to sing that song. They played the commercials alot. So now, a new generation can't get the silly jingle out of their heads.

Well, we (the older generation) do have to preserve and pass on our legacies, doncha know.

I have never even heard of pickled bologna.

I put blackstrap molasses in my fruit smoothies (along with other things that are not fruit).

I also put mustard in a lot of things (but definitely not in my fruit smoothies nor my veggie juices).
I don't eat salad dressing per se, but I make my own; with various spices, salsa, canola-oil mayonnaise and mustard . . . in various combinations; sometimes using all 4 aspects; sometimes only a couple of them.

I should have been watching this thread more closely, but I missed this:

The other day I ate the parsley on my plate. Usually I don't, but it is edible, is supposed to freshen breath, clean the palate, and how can that little thing have any calories?

Not only do I eat my parsley, but when a meal has come without parsley I've been known to ask for some. Very tasty.

For those of you who don't believe me, here's a parsley recipe.

I think it's a Michigan thing because of the other 4 states I've lived in they've never heard of it either....and oddly enough they don't seem to think they've been missing out.

I don't know if it's a Michigan thing because I've never heard of it. Then again I can't stand bologna (yes, Terri I have to sing it to spell it) so maybe I just haven't paid attention. Sounds awful though.

Well, it's kind of a thick ring bologna. Up here in the north you can find it in jars. When I lived down below I could only find it in small rings and they had it where they have all the lunch meat stuff. (I know you're gonna go look for it now blueeyed ) It's really not bad...I don't like bologna but this is good with cheese and crackers.

weirdest food offered to me was something that looked like deep fried minnows. Unfortunately I couldn't get past looking at it.

not me. They tried to get me to close my eyes before they offered it to me, but I wasn't brave enough. That was one thing I couldn't get past my brain.

I could never figure out on Fear Factor why people would eat the most disgusting things ever (coagulated blood balls, madagascar hissing cockroaches, etc) for a chance at winning a mere $50,000! There would have to be a guaranteed million bucks involved for me to even consider eating that stuff. Even then more than likely I wouldn't partake. . .

Here's something we used to do when I was a little kid. We'd make a potato chip dip by mixing Heinz ketchup and Miracle Whip.
