And then didn't? He he.

I typed out something on "He Says" about three times today, but kept giving it to God.

I was going to ask for the male interpretation of what you-know-who said in a text message. But, I decided that finding out what everyone thought wouldn't change anything. So I gave it to God instead :)

Has anyone else ever done something like that? Started to post something (especially in he says/she says) but decided it was better not to?

All the time! Sometimes I feel it's just better not to post, sometimes I worry about how things will be taken, and sometimes I think "that's just stupid!" But sometimes, like you, I think that's something that's better between me and God (especially in He Says).

I do all the time. I've hit the cancel button often. (in fact I'm sitting here thinking about hitting the cancel button now ) I'm not afraid of being challenged in things I say but sometimes things are misunderstood in writing and I dont' feel I can really convey what's on my heart so I stop myself often on here.

How ironic is this - when I make the certain decision NOT to post my question - he texts me some more and any analysis goes out the window anyways, he he :)

Hmmm, this has never happened as to opening a thread, but it has happened a few times in wanting to post my response to a topic under discussion in a thread.

Before I open a thread I think about it a lot, so that I can post it "accurately" - using the correct words, etc. As a matter of fact, I want to open a thread right now, I've been pondering on it whole day. As soon as I've gotten it accurately thought out in my mind, I'll open it.

absolutely...just this morning i wai gonna post something that has been on my mind for months. and about half-way thru typing...my phone rings.

i took that as a subtle sign from God to not post it....at least not yet.

Oh, I couldn't count the times I typed, back-spaced and typed some more, only to decide not to post it.

I think I almost posted something two or... no, definitely not. Nope, when I type it up, I never hit the cancel key. I may hold down the delete key and watch it slowly mostly disappear, but for completely wiping out something, I think I never have.

There's a special joy in posting something, only seeing it get two or three replies, and then fade off into the sunset of deletion.

I do it all the time - especially when I respond out of emotion instead through the Spirit (or just plain common sense).

I only do it when I'm answering a thread and I feel that my answer is getting too long and have lost my point. But creating a thread? Nah...once I have it in my head...it's as good as posted.

Why? I think God often speaks louder in the why then the post itself.

Good question, Joy. I need to spend more time in thought about the thread and the conversation in it so far. I also started to sense that my tone was becoming a little too "knowledge puffs up" in nature. Don't want that!

Does that make sense?

I think it makes sense I think...

I read your statement and thought hmmmm why do we sometimes not post then realized often when I do not post something I am thinking about posting it is usually because God has something else he wants to say to me.........

Did you mean you needed more time to think about how you wanted to answer the why in this thread? or are you referring to another thread?

LOL! No, not this thread--already knew that answer. I was referring to the "Lies" thread.

ahh........you have a lie you had been believing that God spoke truth into......very cool....hopefully more will come and share the lies they were believing and the truth God had revealed to them as well. Thanks for taking the time to post in the thread........

Don't worry about appearing a little too puffed up......When God shines a light on a lie we have been believing and reveals a truth in place of the lie it is a "wow" moment........I am sure as you share your lie, how God revealed it and the truth he replaced it with others will understand why your wow moment puffs you up......

Well, not exactly. I was writing a response to the conversation taking place in the thread. :) At this point, I think it's best for me to remain quiet. I think that God is teaching me more about humility rather than how to express my biblical exegesis.

But I do know of many lies in my past that I believed. I could monopolize that thread telling about them!

Thank you for the encouragement!

Oh then please do post.......I love a good discussion...

And while you are at it please share some of the lies as well......in your sharing another might reconize a lie they are sitll believing.......not only do you get to testify to God's work in your life but others are blessed as well.........it is a win/win situation.....

LOL I almost didn't post this because I am way off topic until I realized since I almost didn't post it I am back on topic again ....

LOL!

Not sure about joining the conversation, but I'll post a lie (that sounds really wrong!) sometime this week.

No problem. Maybe you should reconsider posting?

That was an "on-topic" joke!

LOL here or everywhere??????......

Sometimes I will go back and read a post I wrote a few month prior and I think........wow the people on cw must think I am really uneducated.........

I am usually posting while doing other things so my thoughts are not always on what my fingers are typing......leading to many, many typos and other errors........I am not as unintelligent as I appear on here or at least I don't think I am LOL

Speaking of post you almost don't post.......Someone I know types her post offline first so that she can do spell check and edit it...........she wants to make sure her post reflect her clearly........

I was wondering how many people stop posting a thought in order to take the time to write, rewrite, and edit it before posting?
