You should be proud. That's a good job there, Narnia.

It is such a great feeling to have mastered something new, isn't it?

My new school penmanship paper arrived from Rod and Staff already. They now have a Rod and Staff sticker on the back of the pad of paper. I was going to write "Rod and Staff" on the backs, but they got wise and are now marking their pads.

It is raining here today..... and cold.

Dh just got back from the dentist... he has 5 cavities! We really need a financial blessing! He takes medication which makes his mouth dry which is causing cavities. Ds had 1 cavity. Tomorrow I take the girls in, I sure hope they don't have any.

I found out from my mom that the investigation on my brother started yesterday. My mom was mistaken and thought something else was going to happen yesterday. It will be a long wait to see what happens to him!

Not much else is new here.

This microscope is so exciting. All these tiny little organisms are zooming everywhere.
Sue, Could you please answer my question in the microscope thread? I don't want to break my scope! Here's the link.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your microscope, cynthia.

I thought I'd share my praise report. My daughter is attending a student-led worship service as I type this at the chapel on her secular university campus.

I'm so proud of her. She is doing so well these days. Midterms are all As, and she is really starting to enjoy all the new people in her life.

I skipped a bunch because I have been busy the last couple of days. Celebrating DS bday in Indianapolis with his grandma, busy church activities on Sun and MAJOR CLEANING yesterday and today. Hope all is well with everyone. I did notice that Ez said something about "cleaning up" her computer. I hope all went well with that and it is still functioning properly, but I stopped reading after that, 'cuz I saw that 4 or 5 pages had accumulated! OK to "start over". LOL

I am thinking of taking a computer repair and maintenance class. I don't even know if there is any such thing, but I need one. If it costs me $350, then it would pay for itself!

Good morning!
I have not chatted in a couple of weeks. Been busy, and the last time I was on there, I had an interesting experience... without going into a bunch of details, it was just kinda strange.

I am not feeling well today. It started the other day, and seems to be getting worse. My head, throat, neck, and eyes hurt. My eyes are kinda oozy and I am congested. It feels like a cross between allergies and the flu! Strange...

We have not gotten any school done this week. We left the kids at my SIL's house over the weekend, and I went to get them on Monday afternoon after unloading the truck with all the stuff we brought up from Cincy. Then yesterday we had Dr appts for the kids, met hubby for lunch, toured his new office (field trip! LOL), ran errands... it was fun, but today we have lots to do, and I am not feeling terribly motivated! Oh well, we will get it done!

I have to go grocery shopping. You all know how much I LOVE shopping, right? Honestly, if I could afford to have groceries delivered I would.

We have trash in the yard again. My dog was trained to pick up trash before I got him, so right after I got him he would occasionally pick trash bags out of the neighbor's yard and bring them over. We worked hard at getting him to respect his boundaries and stay home, and unless he's doing it in the wee hours when no one's looking he hasn't gone over there in quite some time. Every time I check on him he is right in our yard. However, we still periodically find bags of trash. Funny thing is that we NEVER see trash in the road, and I can't believe the dog's that good that he can drag a bag of trash across the street without tearing a hole in it at least some of the time. The other funny thing is that it only seems to happen the night before trash pickup. We're suspecting that someone has decided to drop their trash in our yard rather than pay for trash pickup, but we haven't been able to catch anyone. It's aggravating.

With the price of gas these days, you'd think he'd be cheaper to pay for garbage service rather than driving all over the country side dropping off garbage. That is very odd.

Try Tom's of Maine SLS free toothpaste to ease dry mouth. It has helped me. I bought it at the health food store.

Sorry about your brother.

OR you could check out the link below.

Ds would probably take the power supply out of the one that turns on but doesn't do anything and put it in the one that doesn't turn on. Just make sure they are the same watts.
BTW, did I tell you he has a class called Experimental Computer Technology???

We now have a computer with an Dell body and an E Machine brain.

That is funny! My laptop is a Dell, and I have many more problems with it's body than it's brain. We bought it "re-furbished", and don't think I would do that again. There was only one small problem with it physically (mark on the case below the keyboard), the frame does not snap together right. So, we thought that was the imperfection. But it has not held together well. I have had problems with some of the keys sticking/breaking. Oh well, at least it works! But it is not even paid off yet!

if you had a special needs kid that qualified for Ei services..and you had the choice to let her go to a program at the rehab center to have therapists come to your house, which would you do?
There are pros and cons to both. I feel like I should let her go..but I'm really struggling.

Hello, I am just on my way out the door to bring my daughters to their dentist appt. I'm so tired right now and would rather take a cat nap on the couch I woke up around 5am and couldn't sleep. Yesterday someone came to our house with LOTS of ideas for a church harvest party. I thought... great, go for it. I told her the ideas sounded good.. but everytime I said that, she'd say..."whatever you want to do".... So, I'm assuming she wants me to take care of details maybe??? NOt sure... but just incase I am, I was up early this morning thinking about it.

Dh applied for a community officer ... working as an officer for the local police station. He wouldn't be an actual police officer, but sounds more like a "gopher"... doing parking tickets, assisting fires, crimes, and numerous other things. I hope he gets it. The money would be very helpful and I think he'd be more proud of telling people he worked there than for Walmart.. no offense to Walmart, he is applying there, too.

Annie, You really need to call the woman and clarify exactly what she wants and what, exactly, she is going to do. It sounds to me like she is all excited about a party that she has planned for you to do all the work.

Blessed,

Do whatever is best for your family, of course!

Did that make it easier?

My neighbor is a physical therapist, and does home visits for little kids who have the need of her services. I would think that if it was something like this, it might be nice to have someone come to you, as she would feel safer at home, you would not have to take her (and maybe other kids?) there, etc. But if it is something where she would enjoy getting out, it would not be a hassle to get her there, etc, then it might be nice for her to go. Sorry, it is tough without knowing all the details. So, I agree with Shadowspring, do whatever is best for your family. LOL

Quite frankly, I would be extremely hesitant to let anyone associated with a government agency into my home to offer me "help."
