I still can't imagine having that many kids. Can you imagine setting them free in a theme park?

Scary.

There's some color here, but it's not as nice as where I grew up. From there it was a short drive to Vermont and the hills were so beautiful in the fall!

I seriously miss the fall colors! I can't stop thinking about them! There was a tree I walked by every day from my apartment in Boston that would turn the most amazing color of gold/orange.

And then there was the smell and sound of an abundance of leaves skittering over the ground in a chilly but friendly breeze.

*sigh*

But don't get me wrong - I love Texas and I love Austin. I'll just have to take a trip to New England in October someday.

Good morning, all. It is a beautimus morning with temps in the mid-60's!!

Losgan, I didn't get to live in an area where there are season changes, but I have spent some time up there years ago and believe me, I still miss it. I wonder if this is what heaven will be like when we get there.

Sleep deprivation seems to be the rule today - I didn't end up falling asleep until nearly 2am!

I slept better last night then I have in a long time. Since I haven't been sleeping well the last few months Kyoudai suggested I use a method that worked well as a child.

I did.

It worked.

I'm happy.

I saw people were discussing baseball playoffs earlier so I'll throw my two cents in.....

Teams I'd most like to see win: Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs
Teams I'd least like to see win: Tampa Bay Rays, Milwaukee Brewers

Hopefully my Royals will be playing in October next year!

Not fair!

Sometimes when I really have trouble I'll take a melatonin supplement. It's just the same thing your body makes to go to sleep (you can find it among the vitamins and what-not).

I haven't had trouble falling asleep in ages... it's STAYING asleep that bothers me. Melatonin works pretty good -- it helps my son. I've heard that Chamomile, or SleepyTime, tea works good, too, but I just don't like them.

My new method is my hammock. It rocks. Like being rocked by mommy, I guess. The other night when things were so mixed up good/bad/hard/fun, the hammock was the only thing that worked.

Ya, I really am! We should!

The hammock sounds awesome - I wonder if it would be weird if I strung one up on my patio or in my room, ha ha :)

Leaves? I'm deliberately not noticing the leaves. Yes, I am in denial.

Isn't it HYSTERICAL???

I was raised in NM, not too far from Roswell. My parents-in-law lived there for many years, so we visited often. And I have a friend who lives in Los Alamos and works near Area 51.

Not weird at all. But if you want, you can come to my house and try mine out first.

Yep - I fly out of Tampa tomorrow around 6:30pm and am supposed to leave Dulles around 9:30pm - to arrive into Columbus at 11:15PM. I'm so NOT ready for it yet - I have a ton of things to do tonight to prepare. I don't want to have to sleep on the flights, but, I'll probably end up doing so - as I'll just be exhausted from not sleeping last night and having to do so much tonight. (I always do this to myself when I travel.)

I hated going through Dulles. Its a nice place, but HUGE. I liked Kansas City International much better! Charlotte-Douglas wasn't so bad either.

The whole walking across the tar mat at Dulles kind of freaked us out a bit...lol

KC is small. Charlotte isn't bad. I'm used to O'Hare - flew in and out of it for 10+ years while living in NW Indiana - so, Dulles isn't that bad in that respect. It's just the disconnected buildings that put me into panic mode the first time I flew threw it - and, I have a 103+ fever at the time! My friends had to get a motorized vehicle for me.

I don't like Logan (Boston). I LOVE Indianapolis. I LOVE Tampa! I don't care for DFW - but, it's not as bad as Atlanta.

I've not flown west, other than to San Francisco, so I can't say anything about those. I did fly into the old Denver airport - it was okay. I hear the new one is also huge.

Anyway - it feels like this place came to a screeching halt today.

Wow.
