Before I heard Flame and Lecrae I wasn't a fan of christian rap. These two guys are awesome and on fire for christ. Here is one of Flame's newest songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MllhC0qyEjY

They do rock, but I'm a head from the beginning. I first heard a group called the Christian MCs in high school and turned a former rap-hater into one who was open. I picked up Michael Peace's "Rrrock It Right" in '87 as a freshman in college. I then got into groups of the time: JC & the Boyz - which gave way to Soldiers For Christ (SFC), the Dynamic Twins, and Freedom of Soul; Preachers in Disguise (PID), DC Talk, Tospel Gangstaz, and Disciples of Christ (DOC). The new school of the Cross Movement, Da Truth, Lecrae, and Flame are among the best in their craft - lyrically, musically, and theologically. I also love T-Bone, Tobymac, Shonlock, and a group of new schoolers coming up...

Yeah, Manafest is definitely in "da house" of holy hip hop. What many don't realize is the various styles that hip-hop takes on: rock, r&b, gospel, even country!

I thought so, but wasn't for sure! I totally love them, my fave song, has to be "Skills", the one that they did with Trevor from Thousand Foot Krutch, it is stinking AWESOME!

Folk miss out on what they THINK rap or hip-hop is. Heck, even POD has some elements of it...

ORIGINAL: techne personally, in the past i have enjoyed: knowdaverbs future shock sackcloth fashion the grits tonex speech Verbs has some serious skills...loved his first video, "The Syllabus". I think a class mate of mine was in Future Shock... I forgot to mention GRITS....they are very talented!!! I met them when they were dancers for dc Talk... Tonex is in a class by himself. I just hope he gets his life together. He is probably the most innovative artist there is. "T-Bizzy" can be categorized as "rap" or "hip-hop", but Tonex, himself, can't be classified...he does it all. I've known him ever since our first interview in '97...
