Not wishing to fuss, but I did honestly think he looked scary. Like you said it is just my opinion. I think McCains eyes look wooden, like Micheal on the office.

I have seen many Obama pics and videos and i have never seen him look scarey, and i did peek into the video that alleges he looked scarey. I think it may be what he said that make you fearful that led you to believe he looked scarey.. coz he did not look scary to me.
Show me a scary Obama video where he has a scary face, and then i will believe. this one did not do it. there again, your opinion,, is not fact! I say that YOU are scared of him.
I'm personally & honestly afraid of whomever will be president of the upcoming economy - can it fall even fartehr and how much will it hurt you and me? that is what is scary to me. I hope whomever gets picked can fix it or not make it get worse.

Back to the OP....
I don't know if Obama is intentionally mocking Scripture, but I do know he is either ignorant of it, or he is simply repeating the same sad talking points I often hear from skeptics around here.

Two things....
1) Obama should put an end to it and not allow it, come against, etc.. In his own campaign offices he has massive wall-sized self-portraits. Obama should tell his supporters that the One Messiah title and reverence they are constantly bestowing upon him needs to stop out of reverence to his self-professing Christianity.
2) It seems you didn't partake of the pleasure of watching the viral videos I shared in the 'Obama Viral Video' thread.
HERE we have some context and Obama self-made comments that he is the One.

Thank you - yes that is a problem that I am having a hard time reconciling. He made direct and absolute comments about Scripture as if he were just another agnostic or atheist. With no clue and education about the Word of God and the context to the things he was mocking.
I guess the 20 years of sitting in a racist and hateful church didn't allow time for proper sound doctrine.

It's hardly the first time that he's dismissed holy scripture.
BHO: If people find that controversial (homosexual civil unions), then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.

You folks are obviously on to something here, even former pastors know that it's non-Christians that want an Obama win.

I have to say this every time I post in this section, just so everyone knows where I stand. I'm undecided, I think both candidates are corrupt and virtually worthless. Now...
There was nothing scary about his look. And I don't think he was mocking the Bible. He was mocking the notion that government should be dictated by the Bible. Regardless, we're forgetting that not all people who claim to be Christians are evangelical. I'm not going to watch the rest of the videos, since that little propaganda piece was a waste of my time...frankly, I don't trust this topic with wasting anymore of my life.
You people sure do like to preach to the choir though.

hi - ok i saw those - Obama stutters a lot. he looks like he is thinking as he talks. on the "We are the ones" thats from a rap song.. It does not mean "one" means "Jesus' or "messiah" it just means we are the ones that will bring hope or change or whatever"
"the One" to a religious person means Jesus. I dont see Obama implying "the one" meant Jesus.

I saw the video- he is NOT speaking of religious salvation, he is speaking of humanistic terms for that word. the word "salvation" has many meanings. He is not talking about salvation thru Jesus now going thru Obama. He is using that word in a secular humanistic way.
the person who made that video took obama's words, and interpreted them to mean religious salvation and now you are all jumping on the bandwagon proclaiming that he meant something that he did not.
I mean really, if your going to criticize him, at least be truthful about it. dont just make up stuff and go off with it. Thats how we turn normal apprehension into paranoia.

a) not have problems with his own campaign and close associates referring to you as the One.
b) not have problems mocking Scripture as if you were just another skeptic
c) not have problems with supporting abortion
d) not have problems saying Romans is an obscure passage
e) not have problems thinking the Bible is only the Word of God in a few of its passages
So we're back to square one of this thread's topic/theme - Obama mocks the Bible.
If that doesn't bother you, good for you. But for me, a Christian, it bothers me and is just but one of many reasons I will not be voting for Obama.
Free-will is a wonderful thing and so is a conscious.
