I just purchased Duffy's new CD over the weekend. It has a nice blues like sound to it. It sounds kinda like a re-verb to the 80's to an extent. Most of the CD is slow and I like songs such as "Warwick Avenue" and "Rockferry".
While I really do like the song "Mercy", when compared to the rest of the CD, it doesn't really fit and almost seems as if it was only added so that there could be a hit instead.
Any other fans of her music? Feel free to chime in!

Hmmm, 141 his on this thread and no responses. I guess people either do not want to talk about Duffy or do not know who she is at all.

I have to say, that I don't know who she is. (But then I don't know much about music, just what I like.) Is she a christian artist?

The only Duffy I knew was a Christian talk-show host a few years back and he certainly wasn't a she.
And then there's Duff beer from the Simpsons...

Thank you for posting in my Clark Howard thread. 
Duffy is a British musician who has had one or two songs released here in the States. I bought her CD and have enjoyed it.

I really enjoy her album, I think she is fantastic. I love the sound of her voice and her music is nice and fresh.
She is from Wales. I think she has a great career ahead of her.

I really enjoy her song "Mercy". I have it loaded on my Ipod and I sweat to it at the gym. It's an uptempo song. However, I have not heard any other songs by her.

If you do a search on Youtube, you can find a number of songs/videos from her.

She has a great voice. She's does the Northern bluesy soul genre that reminds me IMO of the early to mid sixties. It's a nice change. I will listen to her once in awhile.
