I posted this to my blog over at yahoo and wanted to share here also.... Thank GOD for ms word and cut and paste! LOL!
It took me two days to try and figure out how I felt about talking with the youth group Wednesday night! The youth minister had tried to call me but had the wrong phone number, so she just approached me as I came in the door and asked if I would set up a time to speak with them... My spirit said, "yes" and then my flesh was like ... "are you crazy... These kids are the future of this church what do I have to say that can help them!"
But GOD said, "Get up there and tell them what waits for them out in the world... they will listen to you cause unlike most of the folks who talk with them you have been to hell and came back!" SOOOOOOOOOOO.... Nora said tonight will be fine, my story doesn't change with practice and I talked about being :
abused,
teenaged mother,
promiscuous,
drugs and alcohol,
suicide attempts,
divorced,
and being a bad Christian!
It messed me up totally... cause some of them cried and most of them heard... and maybe just maybe GOD will use what I said to keep one of those precious kids from harm and the enemies tricks! Then all I went through will be worth it if it keeps them safe and walking with HIM! I still am in awe of how HE works I so am!!!!
I still don't have a job and I still don't know how it will all work out... but you know I know this one thing and truly it is all I really need to know.....
GOD IS IN CHARGE AND IT WILL BE OKAY!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS... It has been over a month since I posted in here....
I went to a women’s conference in Nashville over the weekend and I wanted to post here what I blogged about the trip....
I went to a conference in Nashville Friday and Saturday…. I came home a different person….
The circumstances surrounding my attendance was a miracle to begin with…
One income families (and I have been unemployed since Oct 05) have to pick and choose what they spend their money on… we eat and pay bills… but it is hard to find the money for the extras…But due to a generous and loving church and friends who believed with all their heart that I should go… my way was paved with love, a hotel room, conference fees and meals…. From the moment I set foot into the hotel I felt the whispers of my Heavenly FATHER saying… “Come baby girl to the throne room…. Sit at MY feet and just bask in MY love and presence”…. Although I shared the room with a mother and daughter… I had a bed of my own… with pure white linens, down duvet and large fluffy down filled pillows… the entire atmosphere was just so tranquil… I only turned on the TV for a total of 15 minutes to see part of the news and turned it off because it was ruining the mood when I was alone in the room for about an hour…
Then came the blessing of the conference it self….
The speakers were gifted women of GOD…Their wisdom and insight was priceless… I felt like the entire conference was just for me… I could hear GOD speaking loud and clear thru the dear sisters HE choose to stand in front and minister to us… During a praise and worship session the spirit was so thick it took my breath away at times… I felt like I was wrapped very tight in my FATHERS arms… The conference celebrated our woman ‘ness' and gave us the firm teaching we needed to increase our faith in GOD and ourselves,
LOL HE KNEW WHAT HE SENT ME TO LEARN!
See, I have been struggling with a few things and the bottom line is I lacked the true confidence I need to do the work HE has set before me… I feared what others would thing of a “women like me” doing the work of Christ… I was afraid of the opinion of men… YET I know that I know HE has called me to minister to those who are down trodden and in need of understanding, love and wisdom… people just like me! I am called to counsel those who have struggled in areas that I struggled in… I am called to counsel those who “survived” but aren’t really living…
I am called and I AM is the one who called me….
This weekend HE took HIS baby girl by the hand and said, “You are good enough for ME, whose else approval do you require….”
Ever wondered what happened to the woman at the well after she encountered JESUS?
I don’t, cause I am her and the most blessed woman in the world I am!

Lord my church has lost it's mine!!! They let / asked the woman of the well to speak briefly last night about the conference she attended!!!
Five minutes before service... “that” board member (Bro. Don) came to me and I knew when I saw his face he was going to ask me to speak... I was like..."OH NO HERE HE COMES AGAIN!" But of course my spirit jumps right up and says yes before my flesh could turn tail and run 
I did okay... and it was scary and it was awesome and it was HIM... my goodness when you open up the door ALL THE WAY... HE will just get all up in your business and run your entire life... HE HE Thank You FATHER for taking YOUR baby girl by the hand and leading he down YOUR path!

It sure has been awhile since I posted here and I just wanted to share a thought I had about something I read this morning....

I am still striving to know, because I still have my own agenda... I want to know what will happen and I want to know how, when and where... and as long as I still have need of those things for myself I will not have complete peace... I have yet to lay down my questions to HIS wisdom... HIS way and HIS plan... I still struggle to "know"...
As HE ask and requires me to lay down certain things in my life I still struggle to understand... yet HE does not change HIS mind and when I just give instead of asking and then give it really is so much simpler... I am struggling to trust really trust that inspite of what my natural eye sees, HE is in fact working it out for HIS purpose... which should and has to be my heart desire… HIS will no matter what my flesh may want!!!

Hope all is going well with you! I am finally not feeling so tired since our trip to CA! I told Robert we need to take a trip out there this summer for fun, since his last two trips were for a funeral. One for his grandfather last year and the one this week for his mom. We really need to go there for fun. I jsut don't know how we can save up for that with all the other stuff we have going on. However if it is God's will it'll happen.

Thank You Ladies for coming by and getting this thread going again. I am so bad about posting in here and I am just as bad at blogging right now. I am happily enjoying a few minutes of peace right now and checking my email for the first time in 4 days! LOL Oh well I will be off tomorrow too so maybe I can catch up and post a closing 2006 post and my wish list for 2007... yeah I need to work on that!
