John, why don't you share with everyone the good news you shared with me yesterday?

Tina, w***?????! Hehe. As for me, I'm going in super early to work from now on so I can get things done before the store opens. Gotta keep up with those sales ya know.

Very Vog(gy) (Vog is fog from the volano) in Hawaii today.

For the first time (in awhile if ever) I have a Final on the final day of the semester. Usually my I get finshed before the end of the semester.

My only summer plan is Disney World... though that is a big plan considering it is the whole way across the country from me.

I doubt we will be at the park right when the gates open. Morning is not my specialty. I planned which park we would visit each day based on which one had evening Extra Magic Hours.

So, tell me, is gay days at Disney really bad? Because it turns out the last two days of our trip are during gay days.

I hope they're not too obvious, since so many kids will be in the park.

I never heard of gay days at Disney. Wow. I don't see why they would do that. Wouldn't a gay man or woman be able to attend the park on any day of the week?

Yup, it's very voggy right now! I haven't seen it this bad in a long time. Even John felt tired today because of it. My sinuses are acting up but it's not as bad as I thought. I am sleepy though.

Some changes goin on here. The contract between the place John works at and the Honolulu Club is ending because of unreliable workers. So the club decided to hire their own workers to handle the maintanence and cleaning of the place (Like I once said, it's a high end gym and club so they keep clean all day and night very well.) John was one the just 6 out of 20 people they asked to stay and come aboard! It's a mixed bag cause his schedule will be very opposite of mine so during the week, I won't see him very much. But the blessing is that he gets Friday and Saturdays off! We will be able to go to service again together and once I get my Saturdays off indefinitely, the Shabbat together.

All in G-d's timing...

Summer for me will be to continue planning for the wedding and marriage of course. Time just flies by so quickly!

That's great news about John Trishy. And I am glad you are not feeling as bad as you thought would...

Gay days is the reason the Southern Baptists boycotted Disney for many years.

And yes, they could go to the parks any day of the week. Who knows why Disney started that. Maybe to get more business?

There are gay days at Di$neyworld but I never found much use for boycotting. They do not work. It would be like boycotting your gas station because it sells beer, and tobacco..

Hi Sara, if I can ever get myself motivated, I will go see the movie Expelled. But here it is past 2PM now, and I just want to go back to bed instead.

Howdy John!

That's great Sarah! Yes, it's never too early to learn about marriage. I got a very lovely perspective of it at our Passover Sedar Feast last week. The speaker talked about the Jewish engagement. For the most part, marriages are arranged (although it may be a little different today). The father of the groom and the father of the bride would meet along with their son or daughter. The groom would ask the bride to marry him in front of both parents. Instead of presenting her with a ring, he presents her with a cup of wine and what's called a kettubah (a written marriage vow and promise to her). After she accepts, the grooms father takes his son and tells the son to go and build for him and his future wife a house. For one whole year, the man is to build a house for her. He doesn't see her again until after a year. All the while, she is waiting and the wait can be hard on her. She often wonders if he will truly come back for her and take her as his bride. The cup and kettubah given to her is her reminder that he has made a promise. Everytime she looks at the cup and kettubah it comforts her. So...after a year, if the son is finished his father tells him to now go and claim his bride. He does so and they first go to the groom's side of the family (father's house) to celebrate for a week. Then they go to the bride's side of the family and celebrate for another week. So the marriage ceremony and celebration is for two weeks!

Anyhoo, I loved hearing about that cause it's such a wonderful reflection of G-d's love for us...how He too has told us to remember Him by taking communion as a reminder of not only His resurrection but His soon to be 2nd coming (to take us away as His bride) and how He is currently preparing a house for us.

John wanted his favorite Pad Thai tonight so I went to the Thai restaurant to pick up some. Yummo!
