I was a big Mike Oldfield fan years ago but I guess I just got tired. I loved Tubular Bells, Ommadawn, and Hergest Ridge. You're going to have me looking for Oldfield again now.

I go through phases of it. I'll listen to almost nothing but Oldfield for a while, then discover something new, get distracted, and listen to other stuff for a while, then come back to Oldfield.

A semi-regular fixture of my life is to stick an Oldfield album on to help pass the time while I do chores. Generally either Amarok or one of the Tubular Bellses.

Five Miles Out. I don't have that one; I've generally avoided his "song" albums, preferring the complex instrumental ones.

In my car: "Haunted" by Poe
In my computer: "My Fever Broke" by Rasputina
In my CD changer: "This is Goth Part 1" by Various Artists, "Turn On the Bright Lights" by Interpol, and "Greatest Hits" by The Cure

Ooh..I like your taste stellaluna! "Haunted" a great cd and I never tire of it. Plus I'm a huge Cure fan (going back to the late 80's - I feel old. ).

I haven't been able to keep Sigur Ros' "Takk" out of my cd player since buying it a year ago. So, so great.

I have a collector's item, The Dry Bones Dance, by Mark Heard, from 1990. My guy friend & I listened to it all day today. It's the kind of stuff he really likes. I have over 900 CCM in my collection. It's hard to tell what I will be listening to from one day to the next.
