If you continue to see Him in His word and through prayer He will not fail...He will show you the difference of His will and your desires. Huge huggles for you though...it's a tough road to travel on as I've been on it oh too many times. Praying for guidance and wisdom for you, Kimberly. I have complete faith that He will show you the difference. *huggles*

I hate to admit this, but I am afraid my depression or whatever it is has returned, and while I can still function at this point, I really don't want to. I have felt it coming on for quite awhile. It is so hard because my 'default setting' says I feel this way because I am not really God's child; if I were I would be doing A, B and C. You know, as if I have to earn God's approval to show I am really saved. I know I need to go see my doctor and make sure it is not a thyroid problem, and maybe get put on an anti-depressant (for the third time), but I keep forgetting to call for an appointment. In other words I am a mess, I am not sleeping well, don't have much of an appetite a lot of the time and my heart just feels heavy. I am sorry if this is jumbled and doesn't make a lot of sense, but it is a pretty good picture of how I am feeling right now. Thank you, Colleen

Oh Colleen, yes, please do call your doctor! I have a girlfriend who finally, after 3 tries, got the right meds for her, and she's doing great. Don't let the enemy get to you - you ARE a child of the King. I can guarantee we all are praying.

Thank you, Colleen oh, colleen...i totally understand. i've thru depression so many times it's not funny. we'll try to help you remember to make that appointment with your doctor. like lisa said...sometimes it just takes going thru a few wrong meds to find the right one! i'm praying you can feel God's arms wrapped around you...His most loved and cherished daughter. praying the psalms always helps me...i find such comfort in david's crying out and questioning...and then his praise and thankfulness for God's blessings, protection, and love...celebrating in the security of knowing he is the Lord's child...and that no enemy can defeat him. the same is true for you...and for all of us, colleen. Thank you so much Lisa and Kimberly. The anti-depressant i have been on before works, I just hate to be on them, but I know I would advise anyone else going through this to get to the doctor.

Sometimes, we're our own worst enemies, aren't we????? Get to the doc. Depression is nothing to mess with. I suffered from it (undiaganosed - but ALL the symptoms) for several years - while in NYC and after I moved home. It is only by the Grace of God that I now only have minor battles with it. Mine's not chemical. When it is, even if we don't want to take meds, they are what make us feel better (I have to take thyroid meds). Please go - if I knew there were meds to help make me feel better, I'd be all over them (unless the side effects were worse than the symptoms, and then I'd want to find something different). Anyway, all that to say - many of us have battled it - and we understand. Do whatever necessary to get yourself feeling better. We need you around here.

You are so sweet, if my cryer wasn't broken, I'd cry. Which is weird because one of the reasons I stopped taking the Anti-depressant in the first place (besides the fact that I was feeling better) was because I wasn't able to cry any more. Here I am back at that point again.

^^^^praying for above requests... (hate that stupid depression stuff) And...... where do I start? My stress level is still rather high -- many headaches due to stress this week. Rebellious DD is pregnant. She is my dear adopted daughter who has fetal alcohol effects & many issues. She is 18 but emotionally much younger, and because of the FAE, she doesn't always process things correctly and lies a lot. She says that she doesn't know when she is due or who the father is. We wonder if or for how long she will be able to care for a child -- maybe she'll surprise us. Truthfully, I praise God, because she has been heading down this path for over 2 yrs and my prayer was that the Lord would close her womb and that I would be able to get her to 18 before anything major happened - He answered that prayer. My DS (^DD's brother -- same birth parents so also w/ FAE) -- He is 20 and does have a job, but his logic / processing causes many problems and stress also. It's hard to explain, so I'll only say that I've told him that he has to move out and that if he does not do that w/in a certain amount of time, I will have him removed. Please pray that he will be reasonable and move -- soon! I love my children very much and even tho I know their struggles & problems, I have felt like such a failure this week. Ex is causing problems because of DD situation.. Pray that I will have wisdom in dealing w/ him. And, doors are closing and windows are opening up so that I might be able to move back closer to my family. I would need to sell my house, find a job and I need wisdom in knowing where / what / when / how the Lord wants me to do all of this! My head is spinning -- Neon signs & things dropping into my lap would be really good...

Please keep Michelle in your prayers - for her continued healing. As you may know, she had surgery a few weeks ago and her recovery is going a bit more slowly than she had hoped. She okayed me posting this request. She may be back by the end of the week.

And I've got one for me now - I really am NOT feeling well today - I wanted to stay in bed, but knew I could not - just WAY too much to do at work. I'm here, but feeling horrible. My head hurts, I am weak, and am hot. My hospice boss had bronchitis last week, so please pray that whatever this is - that I am able to kick it quickly. Thanks!

Could you please keep our Friday night Bible study in your prayers? The 14 year old girl has decided she is athiest. I know there are a lot of different issues at home contributing to this, and Kyoudai and I just want to make sure that we aren't stepping on any toes, compromising our relationship with the family, as well as protecting the Things from her thoughts. I respect them as her thoughts and understand how she can be confused, I just don't want her to teach the boys her beliefs. Also I'm having HUGE issues with my parents and them respecting boundries when it comes to raising my children. I am seriously considering finding different childcare for the summer but I have no idea how I can afford it. Just keep that in your prayers as well.

An organization in a nearby city has had New Testaments printed out to be given away door to door. I plan to distribute 50 of them on my block, perhaps as early as this Saturday. My plan is to hang them on door knobs, but my prayer request is that God would bring people to their doors that He wants me to talk to.

Continuing to pray for all requests. On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. Please pray that I keep my big mouth shut until God gives me the right words to say, so I don't ruin my witness. I am still a new and learning Christian, but that doesn't mean a thing to this lost world. As a Christian, I should know better, but my tongue is sometimes quicker than my mind...

I'm trying to make some decisions regarding the procedure I'm having done the 27th. Office practice is to sedate patients for the procedure however they do have a few patients opt for local instead. The procedure is about 5 minutes. I'm having a difficult time deciding if the risks and my personal discomfort of sedation out weighs the pain I might experience during the procedure. S4L
