I wanted to pop in real quick to give an update.
I got a job!! It's a long-term temp job at a local university, and has the potential to become permanent. Praise God! It'll be nice to actually get a paycheck again. Imagine! The pay is not fantastic (about $10k less than my last job), but it's pretty good for temp work. And I get my foot in the door, which is really hard to do there.
On another note, I'm trying to get my 6 YO transferred to a different school. The one in our area totally stinks to say the least. I'm hoping to hear some good news about a transfer this week. Please help me pray about this also. Thanks! Y'all are great.
(Sorry I haven't been on here much lately...I've been really busy preparing for a craft show. It's always crazy around here when one of those are coming up. And with school starting...and orchestra rehearsals start next week...and......)

Tink........praying for your friend's friend........I can't even begin to imagine the pain the parents must be feeling.........I will be lifting them up as well as praying for a miracle for the baby.........please keep us up to date...
Teaspoon I am praying for you as well...........for wisdom when talking to your children and for safety for the children's father.
Congrats on the job woodwind..........I will pray the school situation as well.

I'm in Florida and Tropical Storm Faye is coming my way. The major fear here is flooding and tornadoes. Please pray for Florida and for our leaders who are going to have major decisions to make so that we will all be safe!

He leaves Thursday...please pray for their time of separation: it's gonna be really, really hard.

Thankfully, it never became a hurricane, so it's only basically a rain-maker, with most of the winds/weather on the east side of the storm. I'm on the west coast, and our evacuation orders were even lifted for today. We're going to barely get anything - as of right now. It's going to depend on what the storm does in the coming days - as some other systems are keeping it over FL for a while. So in that respect, we need prayer that there isn't too much flooding - as flooding is the #1 cause of death in tropical systems.
Thanks for the prayers everyone - we all still need them!

Absolutely!
Speaking of twins, my best friend's daughter is pregnant with them, and Fay is now heading that way - and hurricanes tend to increase the possibilities of going into labor. She's had a rough pregnancy. While the babies are technical "viable" now, they really want to keep them in for 4 more weeks, if possible. Prayers for everyone are appreciated.

Sharing with y'all a short email that I received today from a dear friend here. Please pray for them if you think about it. David, Pam, and their daughter Tori. Also, Carol does know the Lord.

Praying for all requests. Lots of flooding is taking place here in Florida but only one death has been reported thus far. Brevard County is suffering (they got 24 inches of rain since Monday) but things could be a lot worse. Lots of property damage. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Please pray for The Beau and GP1 today. They are on their way to put him on the plane. This is going to be very hard on them both without God's comfort and intervention.
On a positive note, a couple of good things happened between him and me during the week he was here--and as far as I know, no bad things. I am encouraged. Thank you for your prayers.

Boots - Praying for Carol and the travelers.
Praying for Florida and that Fay would get a move on, other areas need rain too!
Shallbe - praying for B and GP1 in the travels.
Without going into too much detail - I would appreciate some prayers for my hormones. I'm having some issues that are not life threatening, but that threaten some of those things you don't want to lose either. I'm at peace with it if God chooses to take them away - but that doesn't make it any easier if you know what I mean? Plus - it has me really emotional right now and I need those fruit of the Spirit!
