Heavenly Father, You have called us to be a member of the holy body of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and to be a temple of the Holy Spirit. We ask You to give us these gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, that we may understand the follies of this world; understanding, that we may grasp more fully the meaning of our existence and the purpose of all things in the world; counsel, that we may always choose the proper way; fortitude, that we may remain faithful to You under the pressure of temptation.; piety, that we may revere You in all we do, think or say; fear of the Lord, that should the motive of love fail us, we may quickly be awakened to the eternal consequences of our deeds. Visit us by Your grace and Your love and grant us the favors we so earnestly seek in this novena for the strengthening of marriages. Lord, I specifically lift up the marriages of Chris and Rog, Drew and Laura, and Kathy and Joe, along with my own precious marriage to Bob.
