This just in from the BBC:
Sudan man forced to 'marry' goat
A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal.
The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders.
They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi.
"We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together," Mr Alifi said.
Mr Alifi, Hai Malakal in Upper Nile State, told the Juba Post newspaper that he heard a loud noise around midnight on 13 February and immediately rushed outside to find Mr Tombe with his goat.
"When I asked him: 'What are you doing there?', he fell off the back of the goat, so I captured and tied him up".
Michael's my fave, too!! That's so funny, I never met anyone else who thought so. Eric and John usually win.
I'm playing hooky from work today! The weather is purrrrfect, I'm sitting on my front steps, drinking tea, taking a break from painting in the kitchen.
I like to listen to episodes of The Ricky Gervais show I've downloaded. It keeps me amused and time passes more quickly. I highly recommend it.
Does anyone know of other good radion shows I could download? I'm half-way through this one (but not halfway thru with the kitchen  )
Palin's travel show was OK, but Travel Sick was my favourite.

If you are a sci-fi fan at all, the complete, original Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (BBC Radio Show) is available to download (in episodes). It may take a while, but I did it a few years ago and it was well-worth it...burned it to CD...well many CDs actually.

hmmm, maybe it's time to revive the oddball christian thread....that's just a thought. i was feeling that way when i started that thread. it was good to know i wasn't alone.
in other news, i finally joined the rest of the world and opened a myspace account. it's my new addiction, catching up with old friends, waiting for some of them to accept my invitation of friendhood, and waiting for others to notice me so I can turn their invites down. Wha?????? i'm kidding.
i hope this romance phase passes soon...i've been thinking about myspace all day and how i can't wait to check it when i get home. ( i can't check it from work, 'cause we are banned from emails and whatnot. amazing that i can still post here....until my evil plan is discovered, i'll continue to pop in though.)

I did the Friendster thing for awhile, but it used to be so slow that it got too frustrating to spend any time there. My husband's band got a MySpace, then he did, too. Technically, I'm on there, but in name only. I log in to poke around sometimes, but I've never posted anything. By the time I ever got around to making my own page no one would be using it anymore.

It's unbelievable, how myspace has taken off - kinda like the internet did. Having a "www" was all the rage for products/companies; now I've seen things advertise with their myspace profile.
Laaaaaaaaame.
It's mainly a way for me to post obscene pictures and embarrassing footage of my friends for the world to see...I don't really cruise, like some people do.
I'd link to it, but I have a potty mouth. If anyone wants to see it, I'll PM it to you.

I'd be making more money (doing something not Christian).
I wouldn't feel this emptiness that has resulted as a lack of interaction with other believers and a lack of that connection with my favouritest people and closest, dearest friends.
I would feel "guilty" over not being a "Christo," as my friends call them. A khaki-clad, sweet-demeanored, "Nice Christian Girl," who would have provided grandchildren for her parents by now - and never win drinking contests.
I'd probably be married (having gotten several proposals, from non-Xian men, not to mention the men I was highly interested in, but weren't Christian).
So on.
Edited to say:
I wouldn't lose so much mental energy frustrated over the downright stupidity and abject ignorace, materialism and just downright un-Christ like behaviours I encounter so often from other people who are Christians.
I wouldn't be burdened by the spiritual gift of "damage control."
I wouldn't have blown most of my college fund on a Christian college, getting nothing out of it but a tripled student loan  .

you don't fit into the stereotypical mold, so it makes you an oddball in the typical church setting.
I have had a similar experience, but for different reasons. it stinks.

I know this isn't what you meant, but what jobs are Christian? Only people can be Christian. I can't think of hardly any jobs that a Christian couldn't do nor any amount of money that a Christian couldn't be responsibly earning....

Yeah, that's tough. I think when you do find like-minded people of the faith, it sure is nice, that's for sure. For me, that's people who don't want to 'play church' anymore, but want to be the church. I don't mean to throw a platitude at you, but really that's where 'your strength really has to come from the Lord' has to play into it. Otherwise, it can be like you said, empty and overwhelming.And not being able to fully share your life with other, close friends who don't have Christ in their lives...yes, that is frustrating.

Hey, you have your own race to run, sister. As long as you know are running it with integrity and the truth, as you've worked it out in your own walk with the Lord, don't pay attention to whoever's making you feel guilty. It gets easier the older you get...HA!

Nevermind on this one...on second thought, I guess if you weren't a Christian, it may not matter as much to you if your spirits weren't aligned in that way....

I'm not sure about the other cast members. I think the Lady of the Lake is new, but David Hyde Pierce and Hank Azaria (neat little Simpsons/Python link there) were still in it. It's really funny, and I'd go again no matter who was in it. 
He was so adorable in A Fish Called Wanda.
