After I log in, when I go to My Forums, it tells me that I haven't subscribed to any forums yet. I'm logging in through CW, and this happens probably a few times a week. Sometimes it fixes itself during a session if I go and read some threads that I know I'm subscribed to.

That's happened to me several times. Refreshing the page a time or two brings back the subs.

I haven't had trouble with this previously, but today, when I click on the little green arrow for the first new post in a thread, it is taking an extraordinarily long time to change pages, or I get a timed-out connection window. It does fine if I click on the name of a thread or a page number of a thread, though.

It's also taking longer than usual to respond when I click to submit a thread.

I restarted my computer but it is still doing it.

I"ve refreshed a few times, both yesterday and today, and today I still have no subscribed threads. I'm also getting the timeout bug (which I saw another thread for) when I try to read a thread.

I'm not getting notices of all pm's! My box isn't full....... ta-mosquito had pm'd me when I accidentally replied in a He Say's thread and I found her pm 8 hours later by accident!!!

I've checked my preferences and all looks fine. I also didn't get two other pm's about a game and a chit chat type email from 2 other members.

Me too...but specifically when the Christmas with the Kranks ad is displaying. It holds everything up, I suppose so that I will read the ad. But it causes problems and hangs up the page and slows everything down. I’m building a negative connotation of annoyance at the mere site of the name Christmas with the Kranks.

Two bugs to report; One might however just be my pc having fits so who knows?

1) I've only noticed this one with the CW forums, so I have no way to attribute it to anything else. When I go to post, indeed its possible it will happen when I post THIS, I can hit the 'preview' button without any problems, but 4 out of 6 times when I hit the OK button to post my message, I lose connection to my isp! I have no idea what could cause this but it really frustrates the crud out of me.

2) The other issue I'm running up on is that some of the banner ads that are being used here run flash media player. While I do HAVE flash installed, the flash banners will slow my processor down to the point that I'll get a message telling me that Flash is interfering with my processor and asks me if I wish to abort the script <y/n> I'm particularly noticing it with the banner ad for "Christmas with the Cranks"

I have Windows 98SE with Mozilla for my browser if that helps with any insite on my issue.

If this is a computer bug and not a FCN bug, just note me, since I know you want this thread kept to just reporting bugs and not discussing them.

I haven't read thru all the posts so bear with me if this has been stated already. Everytime I leave the site, I have to log back in. And this is AFTER I have checked the stay logged in for a day box. I also had to type in my password the last time as well.

This may be human error.

My birthday is 4-11. On 11-4 I received bday wishes. Went into my profile & saw where the day is asked for first. So I had reversed the month & day.

Christmas with the Kranks ads are still causing me problems. Can't figure out why. I only get hung up on their ads.

Thanks for the tip. That may be why my computer froze up twice this week.

I am having trouble with that ad too, and the ironic thing is that I actually want to see the movie! I just wish that the ad didn't make my computer almost crash though.

There is something wrong with the Kranks ad. Whenever it appears, my processor usage pegs to 100%. Freezing the page, pretty much.

I have the latest flash release and I have no problem with this.

My guess is that some of you do not have an updated version and as a result when new flash comes out using the latest release you run into trouble.

My only recommendation is that you check your flash players to make sure they are up to date.

Also check with Flash regarding your problems. It isn't our site. It isn't the ad. It is your flash player on your computer that is the problem.

I do have the latest version, I tried reinstalling it to see if that would fix the problem. I am using Firefox, however, and I know that Flash tends to cause more problems like this in Firefox than IE for some reason. (My solution was downloading the AdBlock extension to try and block just the Christmas with the Kranks ad, as well as other Flash ads that cause same problem at other sites)

I suppose firefox may be an issue... I don't know.

Our site is designed to work best with IE.

Probably a silly question - is "Flash" the same thing as "Macromedia Shockwave Player"? I know I have that, but I can't find anything called "Flash", and I'm not having a problem with the Krank ad.

Here's the link to download it.

They also have links there for FAQs.

No, they aren't. Though they are from the same company and do have some similarities.
The official answer is here:
