has anybody mentioned having a link to biblestudy tools? (on forums pages?)

Ummm... you mean clicking on Faith, at the top left-hand corner of your screen isn't shortcut enough for ya?

clicking on bible tools used to open new page. keeping the old up, that way you could keep your forums page open while searching etc.

it was an obscure thing that was one day posted in a forums' update thread. Not many people knew about it; but I loved it and used it often.

I used it in my blog; and then would copy what was in teh quote box and then paste it without the quote box; because I believe that too much quoted got hard to read and my mind tended to skip it. But I did use it as a tool.

it was a lot easier than doing a search in CW bible study tools, copying/pasting, and then taking out all the funky stuff.

But to get back on topic ........... it would be a really nice feature to get back

I love being able to see where different people are on the forums. I wish that along with options to see only guests or only members that we could have option to only seeing the prople on our buddy list. There have been so many times that I have missed out on a thread that everyone was enjoying because I didn't catch it. This would help me catch it easier. Also, I don't care awfully much where the guests are, I like seeing where the different members are (but their are so many to weed through), but I am really interested to know where my friends are. It is hard to find your friends because there are so many members.

BTW, I consider everyone here as a friend, but some I know better than others because we tend to hang out in the some of the same areas.

"My Forums" was not showing all the threads I was subscribed to.

So, I bookmarked "My Subscriptions," which is just a search result for all my threads I've subscribed to.

However, that's pretty much useless, as I have to go to yet another screen to log in.

And then it takes me back to the list.

So I click on the first thread with new messages, read, post and then I either have to go back to my bookmark, or go to My Forums, which doesn't show all of my threads, and keeps the ones I just read at the top, just without the yellow thing.

And, I know I sound like a broken record, constantly having the same concerns, but it there no way to void that "Notify me" box??

And when I do use the My Forums, it shows my post as the "new one," and sometimes doesn't indicate that I just read - and replied, to a thread.

And it would be cool if somehow the ones I've checked were moved to the bottom of the list, so I wouldn't have to scroll around making sure I got them all.

Navigating through the new site takes incredibly so much more time - at least when you're trying to catch up.

If you go to "My Forums" then click on My Subscribed threads (which is different than my subscriptions) it will show you all the active threads you are subscribed to

Could there be a link to "my subscriptions" at the bottom of each page so I don't have to scroll all the way back up to the top. It just seems like I have to go through a lot of rigamarole to get to my next new post.

I am loving this new forum and have spent way too much time here this week. My only wish is what I've quoted from spunky-gal. Thanks!

And btw, I love the fact that the op is not at the top of every page! Thanks for that!

Re: scrolling

if you have a lot to scroll through to get to the top, ctrl+home will take you to the top of the page in one keystroke.

Thank you so much for this tip! I had no idea! I was thinking my little wheel thing in my mouse would wear out with all my scrolling!

Fritz, where do I send this yummy fudge I made? Really, I appreciate all you've done to make this forum a great place to be!

"If you go to "My Forums" then click on My Subscribed threads (which is different than my subscriptions) it will show you all the active threads you are subscribed to "

So I either bookmark the "search results" page, and keep going back to the bookmark, or I have to keep going to My Forums, and then the subscription page.

I reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalllllllly hope that's one thing being changed, having all that put into one easy page.

Or having some sort of automatic system, a la ye olde CW, where you could just click in New Msgs....

(broken record, I am, skipping, skipping...)

Also, is the avatar problem fixed? I'm noticing more and more avs, except mine!

I think she's saying that it's awkward to have to go to favorites EACH AND EVERY TIME you go from one thread to the next. (I agree.) Can't that be done within the forum?
