This question is for any Pastors. Some will marry those who have been divorved, and then there are those who will not marry anyone thats been divorced.
What is the reason or thinking behind why there are Pastors that wont marry someone who has been divorced?

The short answer is that Jesus said if a man or woman remarries after divorce that they are living in adultery if their ex is still alive.

You cant leave out the part in Matthew 5: 32...."except for marital unfaithfulness..."
If a spouse has been unfaithful , then the other spouse has the right to be divorced, and I wouldnt think a Pastor would hold that against them as far as getting remarried.

I'm not leaving out anything. Jesus gave the reason for divorce but He also said remarrying while the ex is alive is adultery.
He said that there are reasons it is permissible to divorce but in the eyes of God the individuals are not free to remarry until one of them dies.
You asked why some pastors won't marry some who is divorced, I simply gave you their reason and why.

I'm not against what you have said. And the Bible is correct. But that is something if we have to wait until our ex has to die before we get married again.
Then again, as we all know, there are thousands of Christians that have gone againt what it says in the Bible. But I wonder if there are other explanations and reasons that Pastors have to explain for Christians getting around this. Or are we all just sinning because we do remarry, and ask God to forgive us for doing so.
