I have programmed my website with a very old version of Frontpage. Yes, I know it's not the modern done thing - but it's all I've got and having spent ages learning how to use it I'm too afraid to change.

Anyway, my question: can I put a very short piece of music (say 30 seconds) or background sound like church bells ringing, which repeats itself over and again when you enter certain pages?

Is this too difficult? How do you do it?

I do NOT have a super University Degree in Computer Technology. So please reply in an "Idiot's Guide to ..." fashion. Thanx.

Yes, there's a way to do this.

There is also a way to release neurotoxins into a water supply and murder millions of people.

Neither are very nice things to do to people.

In general, it is best NOT to auto-start music or audio on a web site, for a variety of reasons. But, it's perfectly OK to put a link on the page that allows them to run a song or sound.

The reasons for NOT auto-starting music are many. But, chief among them are waking children inadvertently, alerting the boss that you are browsing the internet, etc.

Limulus, you're an angel.

Thank you for your help. After a lot of work, and trial and error, and lost unsaved pages, I think I have finally managed it.

I really am very slow at this programming game. Anyway, see for yourself:

Thanx and God bless.
